Am taking my 17 ft 1981 out for her virgin voyage in a week. Got everything working, cleaned & repainted interior. Think this is going to be Wonderful! I have gotten alot of information from this site & want to thank everyone.

Congratulations, Cindy! As a suggestion, make your first camping trip close to home. I suspect you'll discover several things you wish you had with you as you spend the first night away from home. We certainly did. It is easier to manage if you haven't traveled too far.

What Jack said is great advice. The Rocky Mountain HiLo CLub (and probably others) actually schedules its first weekend rally of each year at a campground close to most of our members. We call it a shakedown cruise. It’s a chance to find all the things that aged over the winter and get repair parts while close to home.
