Hello everyone! I just acquired a 1995 Towlite. Model plate is so corroded I have no idea what model it is. All of the calking is cracked and I want to replace it asap,. Any suggestions for prep and sealant? Wheel bearings are greased. Any other standard maintenance I should be doing?? Where can I get a copy of an owners manual?? TY in advance for any assistance! Hope to connect with other owners!!

Welcome to the forum!

The search function will help you find some answers. It's not the best, but at this stage of ownership you will find something useful and interesting by spending some quality time with "Search".

There's a pre-purchase checklist floating around here, too, and you might learn something by running down that checklist.

The Library section on this forum has a collection of Owner's Manuals, model brochures, etc.

You can also find a very nice collection of videos on YouTube, here's one, and the remainder will be connected:

Happy camping!

Default Welcome to the forum

You have come to the right place to get your questions answered. Use Dicor self leveling sealer on the roof and around roof vents ect. Other exterior places on the HiLo can be caulked with Lexel caulk. It can be bought at ACE Hardware or on line. Some have found it at Lowes. It sells for about eight dollars a tube. This is premium caulk and it takes a good while to set up. Use a plastic scraper very carefully to scrape old caulk off. Preperation is very important.

I have had good luck with Sikaflex 1a caulking on both of my hilo's
It's a little hard to find at local hardware stores
Sikaflex 1a is what we use in the HVAC/sheetmetal trades
I have used this product for over 25 years without any problems

Default TY

A big TY to both of the gentlemen above. I am a member of a number of owner BB's for various "toys" and this is one of the most helpful of all of them. Nice to know that there is help out there for a newbie! Spent 1/2 the day taking out old dicor and for the sides I have found some 551 for $7.00 a tube Will use self leveling 501 on the roof . EXCITING to be making progress with such wonderful support!

First, Welcome to the group. As mentioned before this is the place for HI-LO info. Good luck and keep us in the loop.
