Default New to site. Just got a 97 Hi-Lo

I thought I postedvbut guess it was in the wring place. Anyhow, a friend stumbled across this in pretty nice shape yesterday and knowing I was looking for a few couple of small campers to return for some people I know, he bought it..called me and it's mine. Taking a new set of tires and a new battery and tow it to my shop. Couple minor things to fix and then a total clean and do all the maintainence then cleaning and refurb.

Learned that PO kinda modes the actuator lock cable location and switches. After two hrs of searching and figuring exactly how it works....it works flawlessly. Just got new tires mounted on the rims and a new storagebbattery. Tomorrow we'll put the tires and battery in and get it to my shop. Would like to keep it kinda close to original but may upgrade it to this century. The interior decor is...shall I saw...very western.

Or, you could "enhance" the western theme:

Mount a set of longhorn steer horns on the wall.

Hang that beautiful "End of the Trail" picture inside, to remind you to rest after a long day.

Mount a horseshoe over the door (open end up so the luck doesn't fall out).

You'll need a "Dreamcatcher" in front of a window too.

I'm sure you can think of many more enhancements, but thought I'd help you get started.

Default Welcome to the forum.

Love it when the older HiLos are restored. Having a shop to store and work on it is so sweet. We are here for any questions you may have.

Jackq, Welcome, new friend! Check out those videos in the reference library under Hi Lo Owners Manual. First post is a "sticky" for the videos, 32 short and informative, they cover most systems on the Hi Lo.
Suggest you take your time and take pics as you go. You'll really appreciate the pics when you see your accomplishments. Best of luck, we're with you!
