Hello all, just bought a 1972 Hi lo today from an old gentlemen locally and it was dirt cheap...brought it home and borrowed my pickup battery and she slides up and down perfectly...I need to replace the vent on top as the plastic has been broken but strangely enough, no water damage whatsoever anywhere and it has plates on it from 1992! It's been sitting awhile...vacuumed it up inside, opened the windows and seems like everything in it works (surprised)...May end up covering that top vent with a piece of aluminum (I'm a welder/fabricator)...since the side windows open, really no use to me for the top vent anyway...One side of the camper is fairly sunbeaten so I think some paint is in order but all in all, pretty good shape for $350...Just wanted to say hello and let you know that I think this website is very helpful and informative! Thanks again,
Rj

Welcome to the forum. Several of our members have HiLos in your vintage. Feel welcome to ask any questions or get needed advice. My husband is a semiretired sheet metal fabricator/powerbrake operator. He never got into the welding. Your skills are always handy around the home and with Rv repair. If you get a chance read some of the back posts. The library section is a great resource. Also, quite an extensive youtube resource.
