I see a lot of you mention JR repair for having the part for the gasket that creates the seal between the roof and bottom section. I did get a hold of someone at JR repair last week and requested a quote from them to have them repair the gasket on my 61 Hi-Lo but I haven't heard back and no one is answering when I call them.

So I'm trying to find out if there is other suppliers that carry that gasket part?? I'd like to get going on getting this repaired even if I need to try tackling it myself or at least buying the gasket and perhaps hiring someone else to do it.?

Most of us are probably curious how you got ahold of them to begin with. I have tried for months to get them to answer their phone or return an email. No luck. I finally gave up trying to buy new decals. I know the old-timers here who have dealt with them over the years sing their praises, but if they had a competitor they wouldn't make if a week and a half. I tried for a few days to contact them for trailer brakes and finally bought them on-line.

Well that is discouraging to hear. When I spoke to them last week they had already moved into their new location in Mt. Vernon. I've tried them several times today at both numbers and getting no answer, just a voice mail. I guess they don't want or need my business. What a shame.

If anyone has ideas on other places in the Midwest (anywhere remotely close to Toledo, OH or within 2-3 hours away) that knows how to repair the gaskets.

Or does anyone know where I can buy the gasket?? Maybe I'll see if I can fix it myself.

I just did a search for the bulb seal and came up with one thread. There may be some info there that you can use. Search some more because I know there has been quite a bit of discussion for getting the seal material.
