We have a 1972 18 ft HILO trailer and have Gone Coast to Coast in past 2 yrs.
Exterior is same except reversed shackles putting trailer higher by 12 inches ,nice when you have to change a tire?
We have kept inside about the same but eliminated Coleman heat for stove top and dual ac /heater in back.
Original Ac died Freon 12 2 months ago ,not hab for 1972?
We thank you for moderating and helping all enjoy there Hilos experiences .

    Thank You,
    Mr & Mrs Swanson

    Hi Neal & Bev!
I had put our HiLo on the "HiLos For Sale" thread last Summer (b4 the factory closed) and decided that was not one of my smartest decisions in recent years..... We had some fine Fall Smoky Mountain and deep South camping trips since we decided to keep it and more planned soon... Can you pull or delete that ad for us? Thanks for all you guys do for the HiLo community! Bob (aka Bubbie) in Tennessee also....

Hi Neal and Bev, I just started a new thread under "Camping Trips," regarding our Club's Michigan Rally planned for this summer. I really should have placed it under "Events." Is there any way to move a Thread?

BTW, thanks for creating this Forum. You've done a fine job with the set up and administration, and your timing was unintentionally perfect... Considering the closure of the Hi-Lo Company!

    Thanks, Jim

Second half of E. Camp308 message: Only parts problems I have had are with the tiedown straps which secure the sideout cover door. Mine is broken, had to secure the door with a screw. Wonder if anyone else has encountered this, has a fix? Only problems I foresee in coming years would be with the hydraulics, which I am sure are highly reliable and should be fixable under any circumstance. Also, the Alabama owners' club seems to have disbanded, nor do I see one for Tennessee. Maybe someone out there has some connections for us......happy trails to all of you, and look forward to interesting conversations. Auf Wiedersehn..........

Hello, Neal and Bev. I believe ya'll live in Nashville? If I read the forum correctly....I just signed up to be a member. Sheryl and I own a 2805 Classic, bought October '04. We actually went up to Belleville to watch her being born. I had wanted a HiLo for years; we love her. Virtually problem free, she only gets used couple of times per year. Our favorite locale is Great Smokies, just got back home from 13 days at Elkmont cgrd, GSMNP. I just heard about the company ceasing production. Sad day. Think of all the folks who will never know the joy of owning one. Only problems we have had are with the appliances, which, thankfully, are still in production. I hope to gain info from your site; we all have much in common, perhaps we can keep our rigs going for years to come. Appreciate you guys building this site. Hope we can all keep in touch to trade info.
