Another great source for a hydraulic pump would be the pumps used on dump trailers. For most of my hydraulic needs the SurplusCenter.com usually has what I am looking for.

I have heard that Weboost is one of the best boosters out there. I hope someone with personal experience can verify this.

I can ask her. I do remember that they have a couple different printers and she had mentioned that the new and improved printer used a different language program than the old ones and they were having to basically rewrite each part to work on the newer printer. But I will check with her to...

    2007 23C Rebuild

Thanks Sam, you pretty much read my mind. I am planning on putting the windows in last, when the project is completed. Last thing I need or want is to crack a window while working on other projects. I think, at this point, once completed (minus windows) the DW and I can still pick up the...

    2007 23C Rebuild

Thanks Jack! I am looking forward to seeing how the guide blocks do when I get that far. Thanks Sam! That was my first thought as well (making some extra guide blocks for others) once I get through this rebuild, I may check to see it there is enough interest in them. Pretty cool story about...

    raising in the garage

If your top half is not going all the way down to the outriggers, your cables are too short (to tight.) You may be able to adjust them longer (or the top lower) by the adjustment bolts on the frame between (or near) the axles on the left (driver’s) side. If you have 4 lifting cables there will...

New Guide Blocks! Our daughter works at a place where she has to know how all the tech machines work and how to give limited instruction on them. She isn’t hired to ‘train’ people, but part of her job is to give limited assistance and instruction when needed. During my rebuild, I have noticed...

    2007 23C Rebuild

Well, I hope it will be as good as it was originally, if I happen to exceed beyond original that will just be a bonus. :) I currently have the exterior 1/4” plywood glued and fastened, along with my aluminum doorway brace. It looks like I will have to very little sanding of the plywood to get...

I am using TiteBond Advanced Polymer, so far I have been impressed at how good it sticks. And I am using it unsparingly. This adhesive is fast, strong, water-resistant, mold and mildew resistant.

Insulation Day Today was cutting foam board to fit, gluing it, and then weighing it down with just about anything heavy I could find.

    2007 23C Rebuild

Thanks Sam! I hadn’t thought about staining the plywood, interesting idea though. I also hadn’t thought about the pinholes that may be present in the fiberglass. And I also hadn’t thought about the wall/roof weakness on campers that have the tip out. I guess there is a lot of things I haven’t...

    2007 23C Rebuild

It has been a couple days, here is what I have been up to. Cut and glued the interior 1/4" plywood to the aluminum frame. Cut the doorway opening. Fabricated a sheet of aluminum to surround the doorway for added strength in that area. I will butt the 1/4” plywood up to the aluminum sheet and...

    2007 23C Rebuild

Yesterday was cutting the 10’ 4x4 for the right side rail behind the door. Once completed both 4x4’s were attached to the wall frame.

    2007 23C Rebuild

Lift spacer Finished cleaning up the right side frame rail today. While cleaning the rail (with time to think and look around) I was noticing just how squished the rail was from the lifting cable bolt. I am rather confident that the somewhat crushed tube was not because of lifting stress but...

    My New Lithium Battery Setup

Thanks for the write up Jack! I also have installed solar and LiFePO4 batteries in the last 2 campers I had. I believe the set up like you described is about the best way to go at it. I do understand where Johnnie is coming from as well. I haven’t thought much about converting my HiLo over...

    2007 23C Rebuild

Exactly, and the overall construction compared to other brands, HiLo still comes out on top. If it hadn’t been for the water damage, this camper would still be rolling down the back roads and standing tall (at least when parked!) :D

    2007 23C Rebuild

Last couple of days were spent cleaning the aluminum wall frame of all the old glue and corrosion from rusted screws. It is cleaning up nicely but sure makes a mess! Almost ready to start reassembling the wall. Also started measuring out the 4x4 that will be fastened full length to the bottom...

    2007 23C Rebuild

Good observation! No, the only thing holding the roof bows/frame to the side walls (on mine anyway) are the screws through the radius steel into the sidewall frame. Once the radius screws are removed, The roof is floating on the side wall. It was: (starting from the sidewall frame moving...

    2007 23C Rebuild

Yes, I can tell you what I have come across, yours maybe a little different. My wall frame is aluminum 1” square tubing and I think your wall frame may be steel 1” square tubing. (It will be interesting to see if you do have steel or not.) I am amazed at the simplicity of the complete build...

    2007 23C Rebuild

Thanks! We really like the shop as well. I built it in the fall of 2022, insulated, wired, and finished the interior this past summer (paying for materials as I go.) At 10’ ceiling height I can raise the camper roof to full height with a few inches to spare. I would have liked to have went with...

I'm looking for some rubber guide parts.

I have been looking as well, hopefully someone will see this that has found some and let us in on their secret. Otherwise, maybe a 3D printer? Maybe I could make some and sell them, not sure how much of a market there is for these.
