    safety bar: locked or unlocked?

I agree with RichR. Although, my cable pulls out less than an inch when I'm preparing to lower the top, and of course the red light next to it comes on to indicate the bar is now disengaged. Roger

    My Hi-Lo stutters when lifting

If it's level and the guide blocks are not grabbing, you might check underneath to make sure the cables are all on the pulleys properly. There are a lot of pulleys under there, as well as the ones right in the top of the bottom section sides. I would think a cable off a pulley would make more...

    Air conditioning question

Photo, earlier you said you were powering your 110v inverter with a solar panel. You need to have the main power cord for the trailer plugged into a regular 110v outlet from your house or barn. A solar panel will not provide enough amps to run an air conditioner. Roger

    Idaho Clubs?

Hi; I'm sure there are no Hi-Lo clubs anywhere near, but there is another Hi-Lo owner in SE Idaho. I live in Pocatello, and have had a 1999 22L Classic for about 3 1/2 years. Took a lot of cleaning, adjusting, repairing, but fortunately it had minimal if any leaks and all the appliances work...

    2008 Hi-lo 15T won't lift

Current leak Hi; This might not be related to your problem, but a lot of folks have battery trouble because of a current leak through the onboard stereo in a Hi-Lo. I finally noticed in the dark there was a glow around the off/on/volume switch, that's obviously there so you can find the...

    Oue 1996, 22' Hi-Lo

TJM, that's very similar to our 2299L, even the colors inside are very close. One difference is that in '99 they put the controls on the other side of the fridge so you can read the tank levels and turn on the water pump before you get out of bed in the middle of the night ... Roger

    Choosing a WD Hitch Video

The etrailer video mentioned above does do a good job of explaining some principles of most WD hitches. Most dealers carry one or two brands of hitches, and will recommend what they have to sell. I would recommend looking into the Andersen hitches, as I went with that and am very pleased...

AC leaking condensate water into camper

I thought that the drip coming through the A/C in the rain was due to the gasket, until I noticed the cracks in the shroud. Ordered a new shroud and that fixed my problem. And as suggested above, when I had the shroud off, I cleaned everything with compressed air before putting on the new one.

    Hi-Lo Trailer 12V wiring diagram

Garyk52, thanks. That switch is above the upper cabinet door on the centerline of the back wall. I feel as grateful as I feel stupid. When I got the Hi-Lo 4 years ago, I saw that switch as well as all the other little mystery switches on the trailer. A little experimentation and I found...

    Hi-Lo Trailer 12V wiring diagram

That is the exact same diagram that is in the manual for my 1999 22L Classic. Unfortunately, I don't see any diagram for the interior lights. I have no power to the shower light and have no idea where the wires come from. They seem to come from the rear of the trailer, but that's not much help.

    Tires & load ratings

It's amazing to me that so many people recommend inflating tires to the maximum pressure noted on the sidewall. Lots of folks on discussion boards, most tire salesmen, and apparently many RV manufacturers all say to do this. I think that since most tire failures seem to be caused by...

    Tire pressure

I don't know why everyone on the forum seems to recommend running at the maximum specified pressure indicated on the tire. The tire manufacturers themselves do not recommend that. Instead, they give a chart that shows the proper inflation depending on the amount of load the tire carries. On...
