I agree with RichR. Although, my cable pulls out less than an inch when I'm preparing to lower the top, and of course the red light next to it comes on to indicate the bar is now disengaged. Roger

If it's level and the guide blocks are not grabbing, you might check underneath to make sure the cables are all on the pulleys properly. There are a lot of pulleys under there, as well as the ones right in the top of the bottom section sides. I would think a cable off a pulley would make more...

Photo, earlier you said you were powering your 110v inverter with a solar panel. You need to have the main power cord for the trailer plugged into a regular 110v outlet from your house or barn. A solar panel will not provide enough amps to run an air conditioner. Roger

TJM, that's very similar to our 2299L, even the colors inside are very close. One difference is that in '99 they put the controls on the other side of the fridge so you can read the tank levels and turn on the water pump before you get out of bed in the middle of the night ... Roger

The etrailer video mentioned above does do a good job of explaining some principles of most WD hitches. Most dealers carry one or two brands of hitches, and will recommend what they have to sell. I would recommend looking into the Andersen hitches, as I went with that and am very pleased...

I thought that the drip coming through the A/C in the rain was due to the gasket, until I noticed the cracks in the shroud. Ordered a new shroud and that fixed my problem. And as suggested above, when I had the shroud off, I cleaned everything with compressed air before putting on the new one.

That is the exact same diagram that is in the manual for my 1999 22L Classic. Unfortunately, I don't see any diagram for the interior lights. I have no power to the shower light and have no idea where the wires come from. They seem to come from the rear of the trailer, but that's not much help.
