    hooking up generator

Actually, I just unplugged the converter/charger from the 110 outlet and plugged the trailer shore power cord into the solar generator. Everything thing works except the AC and 12 volts stuff. The fan works though. If I plug the converter/charger back in I use about 80watts of power versus 0...

    hooking up generator

I don't want to use it to charge the main trailer battery as I want to use it instead of it. So my trailer battery could be left to raise and lower the trailer. I want to know if I can bypass the charger/converter and use it inside for 110 and may the 12volt lighting.

    hooking up generator

It is a 1000-watt and 110-volt generator (battery) with a converter. But how would I hook it up to my trailer to use everything but not go through the converter, charger, and battery? All my lights or LEDs, and basically only use the pump when needed. I do know that the solar generator...

    hooking up generator

I bought a solar generator and would like to know if it would be better to plug it in bypassing the charger and battery or to just plug the shore power plug into it. If the 12volt battery does not need to be charged, can I just bypass the converter and charger? Thanks, Travis

    no power at all

I have a 1994 22L Funlight HiLo. I lost ALL power to the lift and lights. I found a little (circuit breaker/fuse/relay) I guess. where two terminals comes out and a wire is attached to each one. I jumped those and now I have lights and lift works. Does anyone know what kind of part that is...

    Awning fabric replacement

When I bought my HiLo, the top of the awning was rotten also. Mine was only about 12". Sow I cut off the foot and resowed it and did not cost me anything except time. The awning is a little shorter but works. Someday I might decide to buy a new one.

    Ideas

This is a storage saver I saw. Instead of paying a high price for one, I built my own. Two thin drawers to hold Cards, Dominoes, Skip Bo deck Tablets, Cell Phones, Pens, and Pencils, Glasses, or whatever you want. I fixed them so when they are closed they are tight and stay closed yet when you...

Adding Solor to old HiLow & Wiring Upgrades

Thanks so much. Yes, these helped. I don't think I have room for two 12v marine batteries. I know you don't want them inside anywhere. I might have to make a box for the pump and two batteries if I do that. So you mean if I go solar I don't have to replace my converter/charger that came...

Adding Solor to old HiLow & Wiring Upgrades

Thanks for the information. So I would have to replace my trailer converter in order to do solar? Also what about wintertime. Would I still need to plug in or would the solar be enough to charge when snow and cloudy days when the temperature drops?

Adding Solor to old HiLow & Wiring Upgrades

I read a couple of books on RV solar. Some of the questions I have are, Can you still hook up to power if available and if you can is it automatically like mine is now. Flip no switches, just plugin and use both 12v and 110. The second question is can I add to the system later. I would buy...

Adding Solor to old HiLow & Wiring Upgrades

I have a 1994 21' HiLo FunLite 9421FLL that I would like to add solar to mine. I was looking at the flat roll panels that you can use the Eternabond tape to hold them in place. But I have no clue how to do any of the other stuff. Read several books but still lost. Sounds like you know what...

    Holding tanks monitor system

clean your tanks helps a lot. I bought a wand that has a rotating or spinning head on it when water is hook up. you stick it in the toilet and the water spins and cleans the side of the tank. Had to do it about three times before my black water sensor was accurate. as for the grey water, no...

Ins and outs of winterizing new Hi-Lo owner

If you have access to a compressor, Just blow out the lines, open all faucets and blow them out, while lines have air still in them, flush toilet. I forgot one year and had to replace valve because it froze.Hope this helps.I also opened up valve on hot water tank to make sure no water was left...

    Solar Panels

I myself was thinking of adding solar to my HiLo. I am planning on using the flat rollup panels that you can use the Eternabond tape on, instead of drilling or screwing holes in the roof. Also these panels do not weight hardly anything. Travis

    Screen door slide?

Mine wore out. I used a piece of double sided laminate. It works better then the original cause it is a fiber type of board. Just the right thickness. I used to work for a cabinet company and had a little piece left. So I don't know where you can find one. But if you had a pieces of...

    Pin holes

I had many pin holes in the aluminum roof and to stop the erosion process, I used duct tape on the metal frame then patched the holes. This has seemed to work for 4 years now. Cause Metal and aluminum can not touch without erosion.

Help! Water damage roof supports damaged

I had to replace 4 of the metal supports on my HiLo roof. I cut the old ones out. I then had a friend weld me a new frame. Instead of welding directly to the old hilo frame, I had him weld tabs on each piece then I bolted the it to the frame.

To know the length, measure total length including the tongue. That would be the size of your trailer. Not just the size of the cabin prat. The total length. Good luck with rebuilding. I did a lot of work on mine also.

    Sealing roof

Yes I used the Eternalbond tape on all of the seems of my roof. I made sure the roof was clean. I put the tape down then I used "dicor lap sealant" on both sides of the tape. I did it about 3 years ago and only took my HiLo out a few times but it seems to hold and do a good job.

    vent and trim

I paid about $34 to do the entire length on both side of my 21 foot. Of course this company claims to be a Non-profit (not by choice) company. I did not understand that but hey, I got it done a lot cheaper then expected.
