Would like to see a pic of the couch as well. I feel like mine sinks more in some spots than it should and think I might be missing some reinforcements?

I had a few of mods I want to make. What do you guys think

good ideas. Here are my thoughts. 1) I opened up space by taking one booth out and shortening up the table. I also made it removable. You can see it in the pic up near the oven. (mod not completed yet) 2)The mod also allows more heat directly to the bed area. 3)Your solar idea is cool but...

Looking for a way to get the couch drawer out.

I'm running two 6v golf cart batteries in series marininn. That wire you see is a "remote" to turn on and off the inverter. I have much heavier gauge to and from the batteries. So happy a microwave even fits underneath! yay!

    Removed Bathroom Door

I agree that the door is too tight/cumbersome. This is a great idea, i've been pondering option like this including a barn style/western style half door or even hippie/gypsy style beads that hang from the top.

    Are these doors too heavy?

First I thought that it was the lean angle of the camper making the doors sag a bit (I had to lift up slightly to close them on occasion). But then I found the hinges are weak and not closing all the way ( I can see a gap). Anything proactive I can do? Washers did not work.

Rubber Roof Billows; troubleshoot and repair

I'm curious as well. When I examine the roof it appears that only a small thin sheet of rubber is sandwiched in there. That's all this required to qualify as a "rubber roof"? odd.

    Best batteries for boondocking

Makes sense Jack, you are one smart dude! I took your advise on your prior solar setup thread and go a decent controller so now I'm going to start thinking about mounting inside the camper. I think they might fit under the sofa. And yes, must be very very careful re shorting out. I learned the...

    Best batteries for boondocking

Thanks Jack! I have a friend who insists they have to be solid mounted as it poses a hazard. I've also read that if stored in a camper/trailer that they have to be properly vented. We'll see though, as I don't mind moving them to and from when camping for now.

    Best batteries for boondocking

I went ahead and tried two 6v in series. They seem to work very well even with 1 solar panel (100watts). They were around $80 ea from Costco. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to store them however.

    Patch on rubber window gasket?

mine is same, I was told to move the larger good pieces to smaller windows and take an example to an rv parts/salvage yard. Heat caused mine to warp.

rough offroad trips and what to expect?

Hi all just wanted to share with you some tips when towing your camper down a rough road. 1. Make sure there is nothing too heavy on the fridge doors! Or plan ahead and somehow reinforce the door shelves. Too late for me! 2. Reinforce the room/bathroom panel divider! Mine broke off and now...

My New 200 Watt Solar Installation (Now 300 Watts)

Thanks so much Jack! I too was wondering why not just cut the couplers/adaptors off and just solder them? But I guess that would void the warranty. Pics looks great and definitely helps to model them after you!

    Will size 27 battery fit?

There was one time I had a fully charged battery when I left couldn't raise the top when I arrived at the campsite. I found I could bring a spare and just route the terminal wires outside the box. Thinking about keeping this same idea for two 6 volt batteries.
