We are 2 months into our restoration process. These photos are from the first weekend of tear down. A previous owner had attempted to repair it, but used the wrong materials. The whole top had to be rebuilt. We do have the upper half rebuilt, new birch on all the walls, and the floor...

Again, I know this is an old post, but I am going to answer the bunk question in case someone in the future needs it. The boards with the bunk mounts go between the wall and metal clips that are mounted to the lower half of the frame. I wish I had a picture to help.
