Starting my Road trip and what do I see?

I saw a HiLo with Colorado plates northbound on I/45. Someone returning from the rally? Maybe as there was a sticker with this website stuck on the bumper. I know you saw me!

91 Hilo, prepping for our first trip. Butt-ugly upholstery.

Mine is a 1994. The plug for the ac comes out of a receptacle inside the camper and actually plugs into an electrical outlet on the interior bottom half. I have to unplug it and put it back every time I lower the top or it will get snagged between the two halves. It is located on the inside...

    Shower mod

Sink mod One more pic just to show you how much length there is on the faucet. I don't plan on using it very much as the places I've reserved for my big trip this summer all have showers. But, I do plan to boondock a couple of nights. So I may use it then.

    Shower mod

Sink mod Another pic. The extension reaches well and the nozzle slides right between the cloth partition and the wall.

Ferret Grooming: Rinse Ace 3-Way Pet Sprayers for Ferrets I tore out the sink in the tiny shower/toilet combination. But I worried about needing the shower in a pinch. So my DH said just run a line from the kitchen faucet. Duh. So after an Internet search I found the Rinse Ace Pet Sprayer...

    Made it home

Food for thought. I am going on a two month long trip starting in June. So backup camping in case of a Hilo mishap is wise. I have a tent that fits on the back of my truck. I wasn't planning on taking it, but I think I will now.

    1994 Funlite master switch location

Hello all! I have looked in the manual and throughout my Hilo. I cannot find the master switch for the electrical system. My switch is not located next to the up/down switch as in other Hilos. I just have the up/down switch and the cable to release the bar. Any 94 Funlite owners out there...

    New to Camping

You will love it! You will have a hobby for the weekends when you are not traveling and you will be able to enjoy the fruit of your labor when traveling. Plus, the cost of the Rv park is so much more affordable than any hotel. Last, you always feel "at home" because it is YOUR little home...

    Confused

I would suggest you agree on a price before you get anything working. Time is money and if you fix something in front of him you should point out that he would be paying that money to get it fixed anyway. Just my opinion.

    Tore out dinette

Zg, we decided after the test trip to remove the two drawers under the stove so we could have the microwave there. My model did not have an oven/stove combination but three large drawers. The microwave is small, but it took up too much of the valuable counter space. It fits perfectly in that...

Congratulations. If you like to fix things an old camper is the way to go! We have had a lot of fun with ours.

    Tore out dinette

No the legs are part of the frame. You can see in one of the pics how we can lift up the base to store things under the seat. The wheel sits under that area, so the space is tight. But there is still some storage space. The cushions fit perfectly when the base is pulled out too.

    Tore out dinette

Yes. The shower was too tight. So I had him pull out the sink. I took it out on a test run and that sink was more than a nuisance than it was worth. The shower pan is still there so we can still use it for sponge baths. It had a couple cracks in it, so he had to fix it with a fiberglass...

Where do I apply lift cable lubricant?

Update. We looked at the camper today and found the removable rail. All cables have been lubricated. My husband crawled under the camper and lubricated the piston too. So one more thing ticked off the list. Thank you for all your help! BTW everything looked good! Cables are in good...
