    I'm full of it!

Not sure if its been mentioned yet or not, but you can dump several 30lb bags of ice down the toilet too and take it for a drive. The ice helps knock any foreign debris loose. My BW tank has been like that for years. Last week on our camp I made sure to top the BW off with a waterhose. We...

    Inverter problem

LOL. Its pretty amazing what you can learn in these forums and when you start redoing one of these campers. I know the wiring in mine like the back of my hand due to me having to rewire so much of it from scratch. Was only a few weeks ago yall where telling me all this stuff. Great peace of...

    Inverter problem

I was kinda thinking the same thing.

    Inverter problem

Its obviously the converter (inverter). The converter converts ac to dc which gives your 12v. power to your interior lights. Sounds like you'll have to buy a new one. Test the output as mentioned prior. If it was smoking I highly doubt its a internal fuse. But do the tests first.

    Confused

The lift motor itself runs off 12v. The battery has to be charged for the lift motor to work. I'd test the battery or I'd put jumper cables on the battery and see if that would get the lift motor going. The others run off 110v. The fridge does have the 12v. option too however. You have to...

    Confused

Does the lift motor run? There is a safety bar that holds it in the lifted position. You have to lift it to take the pressure off the safety and then the safety cable will pull out a little further. while keeping the cable pulled out, lower the camper. once is lowered a couple inches you can...

    Inverter problem

How do you know the Converter (should be and not inverter) is fried? Did all your 12v go away suddenly or did the lights gradually get dimmer and then finally go dead. If it was a gradual dying then it is likely the Converter. The Converter charges the 12v battery and you are actually getting...

    need some advice

Are you referring to possible damage to lighting wires after tearing down the ceiling and walls? I'd test everything before demo and after demo. That way you would at least know if it was likely something that YOU did to cause the "problem" Yes, There is enough framing to support everything...

Getting old faithful ready to take out for NYS inspection.

Yeah, we are going camping for 5 nights in 2 more weeks. Its been 80 degress here in Alabama for the past two days. I hope it keeps it up. Don't look like we are going to have much of a spring this year just as last. I've got to get started getting my outback ready to take out being that my...

    Weight questions

I have a 1998 2498FL which is 24 ft. long. Showing to be 3300 LBS. Roughly showing a 7,700 lb towing capacity. But that really seems a little high I thought. I added a quote from Edmunds.com in picture form at very bottom. The 5.4 liter is a 330 motor. You can go to NADA to get quick ideas...

    Weight questions

Not sure what all was mentioned in the prior thread, but keep in mind if the truck has a factory towing package. If it has the larger plugin that controls the brakes then it does have a factory towing package unless this has been added later. Trucks with the towing package usually has lower...

    Removing Ceiling and foam?

Good to know, yeah I was planning on running a good bead to reattach the foam to the outer wall.

    Removing Ceiling and foam?

How many of yall have replaced the outer wall that the siding is mounted on? There is obviously a little damage to it too but no way do I want to tackle that job.

    Cannot remove screws in window...

Got the window out grinding the heads off like in my video. Finished removing them using vise grips. Repainted inner frame and good to go. Did'nt thing about the oscillating saw. Man, that would of been easier. I burned mine up a few months ago. I'm going to have to replace it before doing...

    Cannot remove screws in window...

I'll actually try that on my next window. I'll also have to find my hammer drill and try it. I ended up having to use a cut-off tool. Almost have them all out. Video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwjozhtFzI6bUnptZlBwaFFocWs/view?usp=docslist_api
