This 'keyhole' shaped type of kiva is more common to the Mesa Verde area to the North.

The remains of Threatening Rock which split off the canyon wall and fell in 1941. Part of Pueblo Bonito was damaged by the fall. Prehistoric inhabitants had tried to shore up Threatening Rock, as did people in the 1920's and 1930's.

The colonnade at Chetro Ketl is unique to Chaco Canyon, but similar to one found at Casas Grande in Mexico.
