    Thanks for the help! Yes, I do seem to have the electrical brakes, but it looks like they have been bypassed at some point, and now there is just a 4-pin connector (I can see where the other wires unceremoniously end). I think I've got a lot of work ahead of me to get the wiring straightened out!

    So, I've been reading on the forum quite a bit, and I'm a little concerned about the brakes that may or may not be on my camper. Does anyone know how I can definitively determine if my camper has brakes? I see mention in the 1971 manual of electric vs. surge brakes? Any thoughts?
