Basalt Flats is on the south side near the reservoir - camp sites are very nice, lots of trees in the campground area. Can get windy up by reservoir but October weather was FANTASTIC; as you well know, can get hot in summer (so bring the generators). Bathrooms nice and clean. There is the 2nd...- Hattie
