    Trip Planning-1st and 2nd stop-Tenn-30 days

We've been to that KOA a couple of times. Our son loves the bounce pillow. The campground is small and friendly but nothing fancy. It's about 20 minutes to downtown Chattanooga and there is a lot to do there. If you like caves be sure to check out Racoon Mt. Cavern near there. Much better...

    Repair of Black & Grey Water H2O tanks. . . .

Since these pipes are all in the back you could back your trailer up to a steep drop off and then you could get under the camper safely without any jacking. We stayed at a campgroup that was like this once.

    Best way to level?

Also, there are several free "level" apps out there for smart phones. Makes a nice and very accurate bubble level right on your screen. I use the frame by the tongue or the floor.

    Are all 2001s Aluminum frame?

Actually just looked at '01 brochure and shows the frame being tubular steel. Just as good I guess, just heavier.

    Are all 2001s Aluminum frame?

Mine's an '01 Towlite and I'm just curious as to if it's got an aluminum frame. I've seen posts that say they swithed to aluminum in '01. Wonder if it's all '01 models. I think mine was manufactured in late '00. But is called an '01. I guess I could remove some skin and look and see but...

Swing down bunk roll off guard?

We put a large foam "fun noodle" under the fitted sheet at the edge and it provides enough of a lip that it would be difficult to roll over.

    Bunk Bed Retrofit?

Wecome to the Forum. I added one to mine that I bought from someone getting rid of their's. I know J&R repair sells them too and will ship them to you. Mine already had the hardware in the walls and ceiling so mounting the new one was just a matter of bolting it into place. Good luck!

    Boondocking Adventure Ahead

khhorton - How long are planning to boondock? If it's less than 4 or 5 days and you don't need A/C you should be fine with just a good battery. It should last that long running a few lights at night and the water pump. If you run the furnace a lot that can use up some juice too.

    Roof Coating?

Lowes around here doesn't carry Kool-Seal anymore. They have something new that I used last time. I'll have to look at the can to see what it's called but I was very happy with the results. It has a 10 year warranty too.

    Refrigerator won't light on Gas

Yes it has a rigid copper wire that goes from the flame to the valve. It has one connection in it. I wiggled it while my wife was inside trying to light the pilot and it lit right up. Wiggled it again and it went out. So I tightened the connection and it worked great all weekend.

    Refrigerator won't light on Gas

Went camping this weekend and figured out it was just a loose wire to the flame out sensor. Tightened it up and the fridge worked fine.

Next I'll remove the orifice and soak in alcohol.

    Refrigerator won't light on Gas

I followed the chart and made sure the gas valve on the fridge was open. It is getting gas on both sides of this valve. After the gas line leaves the valve it goes in behind the fridge and I can't get to it.

    Refrigerator won't light on Gas

There is a 3 way selector on the fridge to select 'gas'. On the outside there is a thermostat valve and a 'flame out' safety valve. I suspect one of these is not allowing gas to pass. I can not smell any gas.

    Refrigerator won't light on Gas

I have lit the stove and furnace to purge the gas lines. Tried to light with push button igniter for about 5 minutes while clicking the piezo igniter every 10 seconds. I took apart the gas nozzle burner to look for nests and other obstructions but it was clean. I tried holding a lit butane...

    boat trailing

Nope! It was a one way train! I don't do that with my newer TowLite. That was my old Fun Lite. The rear bumper was welded to the frame.

    Spam on the Forum

I think you could tell most the time by their reply if they are legit or not, even if they don't have a camper yet. Most spammers are illegible in their replies.

    Spam on the Forum

I haven't seen all the spam but the one I did see was advertisements. So they just try to get as many people to click on their ads as possible. I know other forums I belong to require a moderator to approve new members. Sometimes this takes a few days. Could you send a prospective new...

    500 watt air unit

Yeah I was thinking about one of these units for a small boat cabin and was wondering how many watts they pulled. Either 560W or 966W should be fine for my 2000 watt generator. The BTUs would be plenty for the small cabin I want to cool. I had a 5000 BTU window Unit in my Trailmanor and it...
