Hi-Lo 5th Wheel For Sale - Reno NV

Not mine, but thought someone here would be interested--I've never seen one of these before... https://reno.craigslist.org/rvs/d/fun-lite-hi-low-5th-wheel-25ft/6706099838.html

    Memory Foam Mattress

We just installed a 5" Lucid Memory Foam Mattress over the top of the sofa in our 2310. It turns out the sofa in a 2310 is almost exactly the size of a Full XL mattress--a size we didn't even know existed! There's even bedding available in Full XL. Who knew? We haven't spent the night on it yet...

    Removed Bathroom Door

We bravely made our first modification to our 2010 2310. We removed the folding bathroom door and replaced it with at full length curtain. The folding door just always seemed to be in the way. We used upholstery fabric, and there was enough left over to make matching throw pillow covers.

    Hi-Lo Brand Status

We went to two RV shows over the weekend. Fancy-schmancy trailers everywhere (seriously? granite kitchen islands?). It made us appreciate the towing ease of our Hi-Lo all the more. So here's my CRAZY idea... we committed Hi-Lo owners should put them back into production instead of waiting for...

    Showers

Hubs is really tall with broad shoulders and I'm short but wide. We both manage fine. The biggest problem is bending down to pick up the shampoo etc. It requires more of a squat than bend. I don't move aside the shower curtain to reach into the cupboard with a wet hand/arm. Anyone have any...

    CO2 Detector gone bad

we replaced one in our previous camper. my research indicated the sampling medium degrades and that's why they only last a certain amount of time. we wrote the installed date and the date it needed to be replaced on the front in easy to read Sharpie pen. a bit annoying to spend $120 for a...

    Alternatives to Antifreeze?

I was pretty freaked out about the antifreeze, but after some research, I'm leaning towards the propylene glycol based formulas because at least they're less flammable. However, the hubby ran down to Walmart and bought the cheapo ethanol formula before we had this conversation so I guess we'll...

    Storage compartment doors

I can't believe I hadn't thought of duct tape! It even blends in with the color of the trailer apron. LOL. Thanks Vegasdave.

Need your advice on Hi Lo Campers 2010

No offense taken Rick :) I don't blame him for upgrading his tow vehicle. I wouldn't want to tackle a 26' upright trailer with our JGC either (especially with our winds in Nevada). Out of curiosity I recently looked at some of the light duty ("half ton") trucks on CarMax and, surprisingly...

Need your advice on Hi Lo Campers 2010

That's scary! That's the great thing about the lower towing profile for sure. We had semis passing us in both directions at 70+ mph and felt nothing.

Need your advice on Hi Lo Campers 2010

Hi Christiyen! We just bought a 2010 2310 Hi-Lo and could not be more in love! We tow with a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee 5.7 Hemi with the FACTORY tow package (7200 lbs.) and weight distribution hitch. Our first trip was 800+ miles across Nevada and back through 9 mountain passes in excess of...

    Storage compartment doors

The flexible doors held closed with one thumb latch makes me nervous. I have visions of leaving a trail of tools and black water supplies along our bumpy Nevada roads. Has anyone modified the doors so they stay securely closed? Or has this not been an issue for anyone? Best,

    Towing with a Dodge Dakota

Contact Dodge and request a build sheet. Just did it for our Jeep--they emailed it to us a day or two later. Like you, I was anxious to confirm that we really had a factory tow package. It makes all the difference in the world. Best,

    Hello All!

We will be picking up our barely used 2010 Hi-Lo on Saturday and we are sooo excited! We found it on Craigslist posted by a local dealer and were instantly smitten. We're a little nervous because it's a lot heavier and a bit longer than our Chalet pop-up trailer. But my 6'6" husband is...
