    HiLo Camper brass Keychain

We ended up with a few extra keychains for our camper, but we can't use them/don't need them all. I believe that they're brass...but I'm no metallurgist. Just my best guess. Trying to round up a little extra cash to get mama a little something nice for Christmas, so these are on the chopping...

    Monitor Panel questions

Thanks, sting32 - I appreciate your description. How would you go about verifying that the ground is good? In particular, I can only see inside the little 2" X 3" area behind the panel once I've popped it out. How do I access all the rest of the wiring that's tucked back in behind the...

    Monitor Panel questions

With my battery levels reading incorrectly, doesn't that push the "bad ground" idea to the front of the pack? I just thought of that. Must be where it's faulting, as I KNOW the battery is good. I'm going to check it out now...

    Monitor Panel questions

Hey PopRichie77 - I have verified that all the battery box terminals are in good shape. I addressed each one to ensure that the connections were tight and functioning as they should be. I THINK that the connections are in good shape - again, THINK. I'll verify that there's a great ground...

    Monitor Panel questions

Here's what I'm seeing... First the panel and what comes up, regardless of true status. Second and third pics are the wires leading to the actual float monitor in the black tank; from what I can tell, the red wire is hot, and from there the power heads to the highest pole (via orange wire) on...

    Monitor Panel questions

Will do, PopRichie77 - I'll check it out pronto. I'm guessing it would be most prudent to disconnect all power, both 110 as well as the battery, right? That's the way I'll play it, just to be safe. I can see the wire leads hit the holding tanks at the rear (the black and grey). It LOOKS like...

    Monitor Panel questions

the monitor panel on my '94 Funlite is in a funky state. Hoping for some help on this one... When I press the "test" button, I get the same response almost every time: all holding tanks (fresh, black, grey) show 50% capacity, and the battery shows low. First off, the battery is new and...

outside "step porch light" not working? Any ideas?

I'll have to check, but if I recall correctly, my '94 HiLo uses a different bulb in the interior fixtures. All my interior bulbs are dual-contact 1057 bulbs, if I recall correctly. My exterior light bulb is a single-contact bulb. Do you have a test light? Verify power/current/continuity...

    Broken Freezer Door

And just like that...I have a freezer door! Took about 3 days for the parts to arrive, and an hour of fiddlin' with it all before I finally figured out how to get everything installed - but it was well worth it. Works like a champ. We weren't anywhere near a computer, so I couldn't do any...

    No-lo

I know that spot well - Not exactly right next door, but perhaps I can take a motorbike ride over and chip in. I'm leaving for a while, but I'll keep tabs on the thread. When I get back perhaps I can check in on you guys. I'm no HiLo expert - but I'm happy to offer moral support and...

    No-lo

Hey Nodowner - where are you guys at? I recognize the 970 phone # as being western CO - which is where I am. Maybe I can swing by and be of some help?

    Broken Freezer Door

OK - back in town after being gone for a few days... I have the replacement parts; and YES - I should have tried to chase them down locally. Dometic charged me $15 to ship these guys, and they weigh next to nothing. Oh well - live and learn. At $7.50 each for the plastic spring retainer, the...

    Broken Freezer Door

Hey, thanks Bob! I would appreciate your input. I'm almost POSITIVE that the red spring was from the left side - but I'd love to have you confirm that for me. I'll get those spring carriers ordered right away so I can get back on the road! Have any good pics/stories from the National Rally?

    Broken Freezer Door

Alright - after a month of nothing...I've jumped right in to solve my freezer door issue. Here's what I found: What do you think? Looks like it's just the spring holders, just as JIM L predicted. I'm going to give 'em a call first thing Monday morning and see if I can chase down some...

I can vouch for this idea - I've used these gloves successfully with caulking before.

Red and Yellow marks on tires?

My trailer tires are relatively new, and have small red and yellow markings down deep in the tread. Anyone know what that's for? Are they wear indicators? Colored like that? I've never seen this before. Curious.

    Tow Vehicle

We're in Colorado. I pull our '94 Funlite 21' with a full size Chevrolet 4X4 ex. cab truck with a 350 V8/5-speed. The first time I pulled it over the mountain passes from the front range to the western slope the truck was working, but did just fine. I have the brake controller as well...

    Solar power

Hello Bill & Kathy - Welcome to the forum; I just hauled our Funlite over to the western slope from your area. Would love to catch up sometime this summer.

    Chocks

Thanks for the heads up on this article; I'm chasing it down today. I'm definitely not a fan of the the "trailer tire emergency club" - and I've been there before myself. Not a fun place to be.

    Vacuum

Wait - so it's made to charge off of 110, but you're going to modify it to charge from 12v? That's impressive! I'm interested in knowing more. My two kids (ok - it's ME) will keep that little vacuum busy all day long.

    Caster Wheel

Our former pop-up was so easy to move, esp with the castor wheel. My 6-year old could push that thing on level ground. Our current '94 Funlite? Fugheddaboudit. No chance.
