I have 1968 Snyder camper (Hi-Lo) I bought from a guy raising money to go to Arizona. I bought it with a bill of sale (no title) it is a little rough and the last time I had it open was several years ago. needs a little more than TLC. It is about 17 or 18 ft from rear bumper to end of hitch.

did anyone save the history on the old hilo site. if so would you PLEASE post it. i loved that part of the old hilo site. also has anyone heard anything about the restart of hilo's was that a hoax or what???? i havent seen anything about hilo on the this years camping shows.

there is a file on here about replacing the seal on a hilo, the tow lo which i'm guessing you may have was about the same set up. the cable replacement should be done with the top half supported in some way, 4x4s under the top landing area and then lowered all the way should put enough slack in...

we saw a funchaser at the hatteras, nc koa while camping in our 22 ft. thats the only time i remember seeing another hilo while camping. labor day friday while west bound on I-40 i passed another hilo on east bound about raleigh nc. they are a rare sight in nc

both of my 1968 models are b-180 one has a serial of 464 the other is 670

it may have something to do with the starting capacitor, it takes a lot more power to start the refrig than to run it after it is started

if it has been sitting that long in the up position, have you considered using or selling it???

guide rod if its been sitting that long in the up position, i wouldn't do anything until i cleaned the guide rod real well and lubed it liberally. i would also use liberal amounts of wd-40 on all the cables and pulleys for a day or two before i tried to lower it again, but thats just me

1969 owners manual thank you, it looks like everything in that manual fiits my 68. i hope i can get it repaired to the point that i can camp in it this year
