I had that same problem with mine if the ball and coupling are not greased real well. The ball stick on the locking mechanism and I have to jump on bumper to separate them.

Unless you need cable parts , They are not available that I could find and have to be custom made

Parts Anyone know where there are parts available, We snapped two rear cables while in vacation in wisconsin causing back end to frop and we replaced cables ourselves ( couldnt find any premade) and have some curtain damage. Need to find new curtains?
