WDH and Sway Bars - Are They Needed?

Boy, I sure do miss our HiLo…we always used our WDH and sway bars in the name of safety! Our 31ft was very easy to tow however being passed on the interstate one could feel the pull from the vehicle. We only had one incident where a car in front of us lost his wheel going at a nice speed-cars...

    Hydraulic Overflow Tank

We no longer have our HiLo, but never had an issue in the 20 years we had her…there was never a need to add fluid either. Good luck!

    Cooking Inside

We used our Weber grill and Instant Pot (also serves as Crockpot) while we lived in our HiLo…summer in NC is too hot to use the oven! So many awesome recipes!

Anybody knows what sizes over 31' were made by HiLo?

We fortunately had no issues with our 310S. (2000) We took care of her and she took care of us. She was stored inside from November to April and undercover most camping seasons. She was our only home for 7 months. We sold her in 2019 after not having time (and space for maintenance) after...

Anybody knows what sizes over 31' were made by HiLo?

We loved our 31 ft and yes, I believe 33ft was the longest made. Recalling this fact from touring the HiLo plant prior to our purchase:) We actually have a very cute model too!

    Repair

We purchased our HiLo from Craig Smith RV Center in Galion, OH in 2000! Their number is 419-971-1626. Unsure if Craig Smith RV continues to service HiLos. To my knowledge both J & R and Midget no longer provide service. Someone still continues to sell cables!!

    Lift cables

It's been a few years since owning our HiLo; I used an "automobile/mechanic's creeper" to lube the cables under the body and through the storage bin areas with lithium grease. This was a fairly quick process that we did at the beginning, middle, and end of each camp season. Cables remained...

    Roof Coating

We used Kool Seal to coat our roof. I believe they have a metal and a rubber formula. We followed can preparation instructions and were pleased with the results.

    Heater won't turn on

Is the switch turned on-our switch was inside the vent. I believe you had to remove 2 screws on the vent to get to it. We put our HiLo away at the end of the season exactly how it was delivered.

    Help! Power slowly died

Our outside porch light was on the underside of the upper cabinet near the door. The outside front light was located under the front top shell on the door side of the trailer. The skirt light switch was located below the master-switch on the left as you entered the trailer. Hope this help!

    Help! Power slowly died

Too many years ago to remember the details, we had a "surge" many years ago at a State Park that melted our 30A plug, had to have the entire power cord replaced! Fortunately, we lived near the HiLo repair shop in Ohio!

New Member - CA High Desert

We kept our refrigerator on when driving-if an extended trip we dropped the temperature down, not off and never had an issue!

Rocker switch that I have no idea what it's for... Anyone know?

Our trailer had a rocker switch like this for “running lights” as well as for external lights that operated a porch light next to door and in front of the front window. Our refrigerator fan was included in the monitor.

    Fridge on/off options

It’s suggested to run the fridge on A/C for 24 hours (overnight?) to cool before traveling…depending on the length of drive we would reduced the level of cooling while traveling. Fridge stays cold during traveling with door closed and we never had an issue with the freezer or fridge. We also...

Just wanted to be sure that you put the master switch in the raising/lowering position. Lights do not work in this position.

    Storing Hi-Lo in up position

We lived in our HiLo for 7 months and did not use supports. Hindsight maybe we should have? We did not experience any issues with the top creeping down.
