By raising the tongue jack I was able to insert a 2x4 between the halves in the rear. Then I lowered the jack to place a 2x4 in the front.

We have a 1964 hilo. I see that you raise and lower your hilo from the rear. does it rachet up and down? Is your crank handle removable? Ours is not.

the bulb seal we used on our 1964 roadie was a 3/4" bulb with a 1" stem. it was purchased from J&R repair.

there are some hi-lo's with guides on the side ( curb side and road side ) and still lift from the front and back. I think the guides are for stability

I posted pictures with 64 roadie showing how we blocked up the upper half with 4x4's. We plan one doing the gaskets and cables this weekend.
