Thanks Jim L I think I will run The motor for a while a few times to dry the inside a little more . There is no oil in the pump. Do you think it would hurt the pump to run it with out oil for about a minute at the time for a few times?

Well took apart the d.c. motor. A little water came out And their was evidence of rust. I clean it out as best I could without taking it complete apart. I sprayed WD40 in it loosened it by hand turning back and forth. I checked out the release solonoid and it was good. Hooked it to the battery...
