    stabilizer jacks

Fan frikin tastic! Thank you so much. I can build that. I assume that this is an older Hi Lo thing, since most of the 2000's model owners did not recognize it.

    stabilizer jacks

I have been looking for this crank, as well. We're using some jackstands right now, but I would love to get my hands on the Real McCoy, if anybody has an extra one lying around. This is great info, too! Thanks for bringing it up, Chicken. And thank you for the pic, Stroker.

    Inherited 1970 HiLo!

Cool rig! In order to prevent further damage, you might keep this thing under something, or fix the roof issues first. Our trailer had many of the same issues. The people on this forum are terrific, and can sure help. And if you're resourceful, you can fix most things pretty cheap. Your trailer...

    1987 FunChaser 22L

Welcome. I agree, this forum has some super people with a wealth of knowledge. We have a very similar trailer, and have traveled all over the US. Have fun out there!

I stand corrected. Thank you, Sir.

    2016 Rally?

Is there another website or group that had that info? I don't mean to rouse rabble (it is difficult to sign up for something if we don't know about it). Or am I way off base? Thank you for the info, as well!

    Tore out dinette

We're in the same neighborhood, relatively speaking (we're in the Cypress area). I'll get some photos up next time we go up to our place. It took some deliberation to decide to cut our table, but the angular corners make a great little bar that we don't deadleg ourselves on every time we walk...

    2016 Rally?

Me, too! Seems like there ought to be some details.

    Tore out dinette

We tore out the dinette in ours, too. We cut the table in half, used it to make a countertop under the window, and built a shelf below for the microwave and coffee pot and whatnot. It took a short afternoon, and we did it with scrap lumber. Maybe we'll post a pic if we ever remember to take...

    2016 Rally?

So the 2016 Rally is supposed to be in the Houston area? Any other details yet? Thanks!

    Miles per gallon thread.

MPG, MPH, RPM, and any other acronyms I can think of My wife and I took a trip this summer in our newly refurbished Hi-Lo. We spent several weeks going about four thousand miles all over the Southwest (Utah, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Colorado, and my beloved Texas) beginning and ending in...

    Bringing it home

I might also add that my theory on silicone is that you get what you pay for. And I have an "accuracy by volume" policy.

    Bringing it home

We just (yesterday) finished our water damage repair on our 2288. We pulled off all the paneling and ripped out all of the foam in the affected areas. We sprayed it all down with bleach water, and left all the windows open for it to dry. We have zero humidity here, and it was 105 yesterday, so...

    Bringing it home

Corbett, In February, my wife and I towed home a 1988 model 22' Funchaser from Grantsville, Utah, to Lubbock, Texas. That was a 950 mile journey home. My tow vehicle was a 1996 Toyota Landcruiser (4.5 Inline 6), rated to pull well above the weight of the trailer. The two major issues we had...

Well, we're back from Utah with our Trailer. For starters it IS a 2288, somewhat larger than I had bargained for. They told me it was seventeen feet, but I think they use different rulers up there. I had a terrific time going after it, meeting the new in-laws, etc... Things I learned... 1. My...

Shouldn't be too much of a problem, there. I'm looking forward to this trip.

Okie dokie. I got my harness wired up correctly (thanks, everyone). And again thanks for the sage advice. I'm listening. My rig does have a huge alternator (not OEM), and an external transmission cooler (aftermarket). So, I think we've done all the prep we can do...except maybe some invocation...

I know. A hundred bucks is just too cool. And I don't usually drive six hours to Dallas to throw money at Jerry Jones (though the Cowboys ARE America's Team...and mine). I'm more of a Texas Tech Red Raiders fan, anyway. I live just down the road from the stadium. You know, Kim, I was...

So Kim (Chuck), you figure that 3590 is probably an accurate weight? That would be nice. I would not have to borrow my brother's rig to go get it. Rick, I expect that my in-laws are testing me in any way they can. They think that people who wear cowboy hats and boots are not to be trusted...

Thanks, Rick. And, yes, I'll do anything for a good story. I'm a Texan. I will call the Hi Lo repair shop. I guess Hi Lo went belly up recently? Is this J&R the remnants of the company? It couldn't have been too long ago. Folks are discussing 2000's models on this forum. I do want (and need)...

Man, yall are awesome! Thank you all so much for your help. I have a 1996 Toyota Land Cruiser. My rig has a tow package. It is rated to pull 5500 lbs. My new cousin in Utah says the trailer weight is 3590. MAYBE he read me the model number wrong...or the weight. I think this might be the case...
