    manual lift rod location.

There's a relief bolt on the pump. Just like the ones on hydraulic floor Jack's. Just turn it slowly to the left and it will lower. You'll have to get someone to pull the safety cable or just pull it all the way out yourself and clamp some vicegrips on it to keep it pulled.

    229L lowers really FAST

The valve mentioned on the motor is for manual lowering only to my knowledge. The switch itself is actually wired up to solenoid that controls a gate. That gate is what controls the lowering when using the lowering toggle switch. The manual valve has to be tightened down all the way at all...

    Work in prigress

Thank you. Yeah, The LED lights are a little to bright to be in your direct line of sight. I caught myself looking at them and then seeing spots. Overhead, you obviously don't have that problem as bad.

Progress So Far... Well, I'm pretty close to finishing the inside. I still have to trim it out and install the the remaining cabinet doors. This is one quick before and after picture. I'm planning on compiling some videos of the work in progress and lots of before and after pictures. Just...

Slight bow in frame where cables attach

Thank you. Totally planning on posting before and after pictures for comparison. Very happy with the outcome so far. Almost completely done with the inside, then moving to the outside. Having to compound the thing several times, but the shine finally comes back. This has been a long project...

Slight bow in frame where cables attach

After several months of an almost complete gut of my 1998 model, I've noticed the frame slightly bowing upward where the cables are attached on the front two points. I haven't removed anything yet to inspect the actual frame in these two areas. The camper has been in up position the entire...

    Work in prigress

Funny that you say that.. I did test the $1 cans at Lowes. It was like painting with milk. It wouldn't cover anything and would leave runs no mater what technique you used.

    Work in prigress

My plan as of now is to paint all the cabinets and shelving white and use the ceiling and wall wood for the accent inlays. Since the blinds are a teal color and the cushions are beige I'm painting the cabinets fixtures to match one of those colors. I'm trimming out the new wood I'm installing...

    Work in prigress

Thank you. Im hoping it doesn't feel to cramped without white ceilings. I was wanting this look but I also know about colors creating the illusion of more depth, etc. Easy fix with paint if so though I guess. Then I'd trim it out in the same wood as on the walls, which is the same as...

    Work in prigress

Work in progress Well, I'm a little excited to see a little progress in my ceiling. I plan on posting a lot of videos I've made along the way , to hopefully help others. This is just the start obviously, being that I'm going to trim everything out, including the joints and paths of...

    Removing ceiling bathroom partition?

Boy I've gutted so much if my camper and almost time to start building. The one and only piece I just can't figure out is the piece of wood that's attached to the ceiling that separates the bathroom from the living area. All the bathroom partition curtains attach to it. How in the world...

    restoration thoughts and suggestions

Yeah, I'm hoping the 5 mm underlayment works out on the walls and ceiling. I was a little worried about it being thinner, although its closer to the factory thickness. My worry is that it'll be prone to not lay as flat as the thicker stuff. I'd hate to get everything up and glued to discover...

    restoration thoughts and suggestions

I recently started back on my 98 restoration. The roof and upper walls in my unit need replacing and I'm in the process of tearing those out. I've removed some of the windows and plan on removing them all. Like some of us I noticed many pin holes in the aluminum roof. After cleaning the roof...

Camper won't lift after setting two years

And the answer is.....Yes. I know someone would of replied, but I just went out and tried it again, after its charged for a few hours, and its lifting now. Yes! I was thinking I might just make a trailer out of it, if I was going to start with those problems again. Thank goodness its working...

Camper won't lift after setting two years

OK, I decided to start back on my project camper. It was an electrical nightmare a couple years ago before I gave it a rest. I pretty much had figured everything out and made a quick video explaining to myself what I had figured out so when I started back I couldn't be lost. Well, I...

What kind of glue to use on ceiling?

Well, Back to my project I stopped on a couple years ago. I've been in the early stages of restoring my 1998 HiLo. Mostly demo right now I guess. I've tore the entire ceiling out only to leave the foam. My question is, what kind of glue do I use to stick my panels back up? I called a RV...

    AM/FM Radio Options

Ok, Right now I've got a few campers. Only one of them is a Hi-lo. My question is really in regards to my Gulfstream Conquest but really is a general question being about Radio options. My Conquest has outside and inside speakers with a toggle switch near the entertainment center to either...

    Air conditioner will not run

Its amazing how many problems can be figured out while laying in bed brainstorming or when you first wake up from a good nights sleep. I've woke up before and its litteraly like a light bulb being turned on, and went out and fixed the problem. Glad you got the help to help you figure it out...

    Frig propane won't light

I'd turn the gas on and crack open the connection behind the fridge slightly. Once you smell gas tighten it up again. After it settles for a while get someone to turn the fridge on so it lights itself. Easy way to tell if its working is to touch the coils on the back of the fridge. They will...

As for the sticky residue I have found that WD40 works great if you looking for something that is likely just laying around the house.

    2000 hi-Lo classic won't lift

If it seems like it is in a bind id check the cylinder and the guide. Make sure the cylinder is lubed real good. You may decide to take the assembly apart so it doesn't pull the cables when engaging the pump. I guess you could Run the pump then and see if it moves freely. At Least then you...

    1987 FunChaser 22L

Looks Great! I've always thought that the older Hi Lo Campers looked more modern than their time. I had a 84 model Leisure Craft that was pretty much the same colors but you knew it was old camper just by looking at the outside design. These on the other hand could pass for much newer campers...
