Deeper tub should work fine.

What are you plugging into the receptacle? It might be tripping the GFI. Try plugging different things to you trip the GFI. This may solve your problem.

Treeclimber--The plastic static hose (return hose) may or may not have fluid in it depending on the routing of the hose. If hose dips down below the hydraulic unit it will hold fluid like p-trap under a sink.

As JackandJanet said, also check fluid in hyd. pump reservoir. If fluid and so sign of a leak then the lift cylinder needs rebuilding as fluid is by-passing the seals inside the cylinder.

Jack and Janet you are correct about the ABS pipe, I am so use to PVC at our country place in South Texas. Yes the flex hose would have to be very flexible. Perhaps a rubber hose flexible like a bicycle inner tube. Just a thought.

Vent Tube Instead of a ridged pipe, tee off with a flexible hose that goes up the corner of the tub or up somewhere it will not be seen.

The vent pipe is just PVC pipe that is tight at one end and is allowed to slip in a standard PVC connection like under your kitchen sink. Schedule 10 PVC will work well, schedule 40 not needed. Perhaps also some light weight flexible hose attached at each end would also work. Hose would just...
