I took the front and rear caps off to repair cracks in the corners. Repaired on the inside with glass mat/epoxy. An extra layer of glass/epoxy on the outside. Taking those caps off however, is a royal pain in the posterior. Also repaired and dried out the wood that was exposed to water...
