    Door hinge

I need one too, and our local RV Dealer usually has access to everything. However, in doing an internet search, we've been unable to find a 5-Leaf Hinge anywhere thus far. Seems strange because most of the older RVs & Motor Homes of many manufacturers have the identical hinge so you would think...

    Hi LO or tow lite

    It's a Hi-Lo Towlite! My'76 just says Hi-Lo, but the 2000 has both!

Have a friend that might want a Towlite.

Right You are Tree! This old West Nile Brain couldn't remember it! Used it myself and specified it for commercial Jobs and as an architect. Just the Primer Red for Steel.

Have a friend that might want a Towlite.

Oh, wait, I don't think "Towlite" even existed back then! Mine was/is a Classic.

1976 Has Steel or Aluminum Square Tubing Frame My 1976 2176B has square tubing. It may be Steel, but because there was no Rust, I believe it may be Aluminum. And, it was coated with the lite green primer type paint. :)

Help! Need to raise 2005 HiLo Towlite

:rolleyes:As I Found with my old 1976, if raising it with 'Friends', It works better with 8 of them, 2 on each corner. Then, also have some 17" or so 2x4s to use as temporary posts where the Top rests on the Frame so they don't have to hold it too long!

Help! Need to raise 2005 HiLo Towlite

Sounds like you need to get/borrow 4 Hi-Lift Farm Jacks & some Short 2x4's to spread the weight on the 4 Corners. Or preferably, where the cables attach at the bottom of the Top. Then just jack it high enough to get to the battery compartment. After you replace the Battery, you should be able to...

    Looks around my 1976 Model!

    what size generator for a/c

Quit honestly, I've rarely had my TV connected nor even hitched to the HiLo when either raising or lowering. I always unhitch and level it before raising it. When the Battery on the '76 was too low to raise it, I always had to place the TV close to the door to run the Jumpers inside to the battery!

    what size generator for a/c

Using Jumper Cables How long of Jumper Cables would you have to use to make the Distance from the TV battery in front of TV to at least the front of the Hitch or further back?:) I've never used, or actually seen cables that long:rolleyes: The PO of my old '76 had installed a 20 Amp outlet...

Agreement Here! If you can "jump" the battery directly from the TV, why would there be any problem?

    Mouseproofing (Hopefully)

Less expensive than either mothballs or Peppermint too! Don't know why I didn't think of that a long time ago? Know it works for flies and other insects.

Broke away my break away brake cable

If it won't take a charge from your charger, you can take it to a Dealer (i.e., Interstate Batteries) and after a 24 Hr. Charge from them it should bring it back to the state it was in previously. Not for the same reason, but I had less than 10 miles on a new battery purchased in May, which I...

    Mouseproofing (Hopefully)

Thanks! Moth Balls were once effective throughout the seasons, but not so much any more. Possibly the Cedar Chips will not require renewal as much.

    Mouseproofing (Hopefully)

I decided to try this method this year. But, I'd like to know, "How often to you need to Renew the Peppermint on the Cotton Balls [weeks/Months]? I.e, How long is it effective? Since I rarely unload mine, not all the accessibility avenues are reachable. I have noticed that the PO has caulked at...

    Monitor Panel questions

That's all common sense! But where I normally set up, it's just high percolation grass, with the majority as dish water or possibly rinse water, several hundred yards from a river that floods regularly. And, is often 10' to 15' under water or more. Not a very clean situation in the 1st place...

    Monitor Panel questions

Marininn, I live back on a farm [6 years now, grew up here from the 5th grade until college & the Navy] where the laundry water has always been directed directly out of the house, even to water the trees.

    Monitor Panel questions

We didn't have all this 'new fangled stuff' on the 'old' ones! Fortunately, I suppose, it all works on the "new one." Although, I never use the Black Water Tank anyhow. Porta-Potties or a 2 Liter Juice Bottle (Coffee can for the Ladies) are nearly always available. Gray Water easily seeps into...

rough offroad trips and what to expect?

Even at Drives connecting to highways or paved roads with Gutters [or dips], I learned to approach them at an angle. Especially since I now carry the 2 bicycles around & behind the spare tire. Gets awfully close to those tires!

    Traveling with refrig ON

Per the Cables, back in the late 90s, I had the Rear Cables snap for some reason, but rather than replace them, I got some new cable from a crop duster, some cable fittings, and spiced the new portions to the existing. They are still in place, and have worked well.

    Refrigerator exhaust fan use

Although the Switch has been "on" ever since I obtained it, I've yet to "hear" the exhaust work on my 2000? Don't know that it even works, and am Not too worried about it because the Refer almost works too well! Have to keep it set low, especially on Gas, because it tends to freeze some...

    Traveling with refrig ON

Mine's been run for over 40 years! I've run mine on gas while traveling for over 40 years! For clarification, the PO on my '76 did so, and I did too! Have had NO problems doing the same with my "new" 2000.:) As others stated previously, I just leave the roof vent (now 2) cracked for sure...
