Need to fix or replace front panel

The Cap is ABS plastic. Only epoxy will bond long term. find a West Marine store and purchase the brand they carry ( sorry I cannot think of the brand off hand). I have used Harbor Freights epoxy and it is not a good fix for our needs. the best long term fix is to reinforce the inside if the...

Raising it up with dead batteries

I had the same problem. I had to plug into electric and some time that wouldn't work. I did put a new battery in and still had the problem. The problem was solved with two new wires and a circuit breaker. I was very frustrated not knowing what to do or where or what to do next. Hopefully...

Lift mechanism adjustment question - 2307C

In the process of adjusting the top myself. I really appreciate the clear insights and facts. At one time I was intimidated about tackling this task. But I found that thinking this through it is actually very doable. Now for the frustration.... I have a dang nut that is frozen. Just one lousy...

    Wiring/electrical question

I would unwrap the wiring and disc the one wires that powers the light that youwant off. Google trailer plug wiring and with the diagram isolate the wires then disconnect . You may have a junction block in your battery box where the pig tail to the female plug of the trailer connects the...

    crack in body

After you are sure you stopped a leak have a sign shop make a stick on cover to confuse/ obfuscate the damage. I have just finished repairing the rear abs plastic cover. Here is what I covered the repair with:

    For the love of it!

Glued the wall together over the sink. Didn't have enough clamps to make it a one shot deal. Note it was raining out and that is black garbage bags over the opening.

    For the love of it!

Running three fans inside and the fan on the a/c. Plus our dehumidifier from the basement. Needed to seal it up to dry out. Plastic taped over opening to facilitate drying. Working inside would be nice.

    For the love of it!

We decided against the full wrap on the back for two reasons. One costs and two while down and traveling with bikes on a rack the scene will mostly be blocked. I think it is best to keep the art work understated while still whimsical. We are liking the trail of ants. Well back to popping...

    For the love of it!

Here is what the end cap looks like now. I drilled several small holes after cutting a "V" notch. Trying to load epoxy to form a good bond. On the inside I epoxied 2" of light weight Fiberglas cloth to the inside. Then added popsicle sticks to the mix for added strength. The rear wall was...

Recoating is on my list right after re caulking the end caps to the roof. I had a crack in the rear cap. Repaired it with epoxy. Having a wrap made to cover it. And removing the windows and resealing.

New Hi Lo trailer owner 2806C

"Keep in mind that your trailer sold for more than $30.000 when new. Worth the time and effort to remodel." So true. And they don't make 'em anymore. Enough reason to restore and use.

    For the love of it!

One advantage with a HiLo you can lower the roof to work on it and if you fall off you'll break a leg or something. Where if you are working on a regular trailer roof and you fall you'll prolly die.

    For the love of it!

Spent most of the day washing the roof. This probably hasn't been washed in 10 years or more. What I learned. A stiff scrub brush is a must, good strong detergent and add an oxi clean type cleaner ( for the organic growth). Man does it look great. It's going to take several more hours to get...

    Refrigerator Vent?

I would say yes. I wouldn't use it on propane till it is repaired. Electric use would be ok but you will have increased heat dumping into the coach because it isn't venting to the outside. Be safe!

How to reduce heat from sun on fridge

Have you thought of installing a window awning over the fridge? An awning will reduce the temps without drawing any electric. I always wanted to install a second awning on the street side just to reduce interior temps.
