Selling my upper bunk It's Been Sold

Hello. If your upper bunk is leaning, or slanted, downhill toward the front of the camper, it is because the top half of your camper isn't raising as high as it did when new. You'll notice that the two brackets for the bunk that attach to that particular side of the bunk are also attached to the...

    Remove/replace guide rod??

Joseph A- pardon the very delayed reply, I don't recall receiving an alert that this thread had been replied to. If you're inquiring about the upgrades installed or fabricated into my Funlite, nearly all were sourced from Amazon. raw materials such as steel tubing were from local steel vendor...

    Cable replacement and adjustment

I replaced all four of my cables using a spool of 100ft 3/16 in stainless steel cable, larger than the factory one quarter-inch cable, and stainless steel thimbles. I purchased all of them from Amazon for under or just at $120.00. I purchased an 18" long arm swaging tool as well with 6 sizes of...

Years of hard work, it's finally finished.

Angel- Very nice work, especially for some deep issues. I'd like to see the shower/ tub and bathroom, toilet all put back together, maybe upload more pics? Also- I know everyone's wondering.....it appears you masked part of the exterior perhaps to spray paint the unit. What paint did you use...

    Hi Lo Trailer Parts

Thanks, LWW! Tried them 2.....seems also a 3rd place in upper Midwest, too, possibly even Ohio also- but to date I've received no calls back to email replies. I'll keep looking- I appreciate the referral! Have a good day!

    Tires for Hi-lo

I've found these two to have better selection, pricing, and shipping speed than even www.etrailer.com (especially pricing vs etrailer.com): * Destination for Trailer Tires & Wheels | eCustomRim * www.trailertires.com ecustom rim got 4 tire/wheel assemblies from Florida to western Montana...

    Remove/replace guide rod??

Unless I missed something, you simply lower the top and cylinder ram rod is retracted. I presume from original post your system is intact? Even with no power, the emergency manual override lever at the pump will release fried (fluid?) though valve back into reservoir and lower the top.

    Hi Lo Trailer Parts

Thanks, Jack! No luck from J&R regarding responses. The "others" who've done this before are my exact "targets", as I wish to avoid the tracing, templating, sourcing a sign shop, etc if that's already been done by some folks.....I could just duplicate an order from their vendor and be done...

    Remove/replace guide rod??

Hello Niels- I just finished major renovations on complete undercarriage of my 1994 Funlite FLL. I had to remove guide rod, easier than you think. TOP MUST BE DOWN, RAM IN RETRACTED POSITION. On the driver side of rod, closest to ram, at the very end is a cotter key maybe 1/8" diameter. It's...

    Hi Lo Trailer Parts

I'm in need of the original style decals for my 1994 Funlite 21FLL. "Funlite" on the front stone shield and above rear window, and "Funlite" slightly smaller at lower rear of left & right sides. Would also like "Duo-Therm by Dometic" on each side of A/C cover. Anybody have any idea where to...

    Swapping out lights for LED's

I replaced every internal fixture, single and double bulb, with nearly identical equivalent permanent sealed fixture from Amazon. Used same screw holes for the most part even! About $8 per single, $12 per double. I replaced the 2 singles in the bathroom with doubles. These fixtures are 1/4"...

Bunk Installation: Ceiling mounted arm catch

I replaced my OEM catches with 4-hole gate-style 6" long hook latches and their bases screwed right in where the OEM location was. The other end of the latch, on the bedframe itself, I mounted an eyebolt through both walls of the square tubing for the hook to locate in to. I drilled...

    cable sink

The twin bedframe rails I sourced were not as thick as standard angle iron I also had on had, which was why I chose to use it. Doesn't really need to be thick, just strong to prevent cable gouging. Use steel not aluminum. The outer edge of the "L" was already rounded, like bull- nose strips used...

    cable sink

Jack's response is the best regarding advice- do NOT IGNORE THIS ISSUE. Doing so will worsen and weaken the horizontal frame, which is only 2x2 wood covered in thin sheet metal. When I noticed this issue on my 1994 21' Fulkite, I repaired as follows: Spend $1.00 at local Habitat For Humanity...

New hi-lo owner need help with top adjustment

Retired- thanks for more clarification (I agree, a 2x4 laid FLAT SIDE UP allows stability and maximum drop of top prior to adjustment). I appreciate it and am sure the O/P does too!

New hi-lo owner need help with top adjustment

JackandJanet & Retiredcamper47, thank you BOTH for great clarification! Jack, my concern using your method is exactly as you state, I could inadvertently keep my finger on the switch a bit too long while lowering the tio down to contact boards and "create" too much slack which, if I take all of...

New hi-lo owner need help with top adjustment

Mckavett- sorry to hear of your troubles, I'm having a similar issue.... bobhxsn, a little more detail please. Are you saying cut quantity 4 of 24" long 2x4, then place them on the rubber pads (2 each front & rear) of the actual frame rails where to top sits when in fully lowered position? If...
