    Missing pulley

Cable replacement I replaced one cable just prior to selling my Hi LO. I believe there is good information on this site when you access information about cable replacement. I printed out what I found so I had it as a reference while I was doing the work. I probably gave the print out o the...

    Lift cable bolt came loose

Photobob. You could place 2"x 4" boards on each outrigger the against the top and lower the top slightly which will make working on the cable easier. You may need some type of comalong to tighten the cable enough. Additionally you may wish to remove the wheel where cables are tightened and...

    Awning gone

Even with the awning open and tied securely the wind can come from underneath and rip it off the camper. The one I have on my house has sensors that will make it retract if there is much wind. I have not learned how to connect wiring to do this with my camping trailer. Any ideas ?

A bad day in Niagara Falls,NY

I learned to use fiberglass for repair after taking out a no parking sign. It was not as good as the body shop but acceptable and the new owner did not even notice.

    1707T 17' Hi-Lo for Sale - Remodeled - $8,000 OBO

If you decide to return to the U.S. you may wish to keep it in storage as no other camper will ever be as good as this one. I did not appreciate how much I used my 15' Hi Lo until I sold it then purchased a poorly build new one which has required hours of work even prior to my first camping...

This is a remake, not remodel. I sold mine several years ago after towing it 50,000 miles. You did not mention the cables which eventually brake.

Injuries while working as a Nurse.

My daughter has been an intensive care nurse since 2010. While in nursing school she worked at Craig Hospital in Englewood, Colorado so she understands what happens to patients following their release from the hospital. Very few doctors understand this. I cannot understand how she gets through...

    2008 HiLo 1508T 15ft for sale

15' Hi Lo I only replaced one cable before I sold my 15' Hi Lo for $6,500. You should receive more but probably less that your asking price. I used mine for ten years and towed it with my 2002 4 Runner over 50,000 miles. Last year I purchased a new Chinook Dream 22' camper and have spent a...

    Broken cables

There is a good description of how to replace broken cables on this forum. Keep looking. I only needed to replace one before I sold it. The new owner will eventually need to replace the others. 2009 1509 Hi Lo, 50 K miles towed on highways and in the backcountry.

1996 Hi Lo tow lite 186TL 22' for sale It's Been Sold

Jack, I would need a bed that stays down with a custom mattress. I purchased three different foam pads and still had difficulty with my back. I also meant to ask for a floor plan instead of layout. As much as this sounds like a deal and something I could tow with my 6 cyl. 4 Runner I am not...

1996 Hi Lo tow lite 186TL 22' for sale It's Been Sold

Jack, got it thanks. This sounds like a deal but having done so many repairs and maintenance on my 2009 I suspect there are some issues that will require money and attention. After talking to others and looking at campers to rent I feel that Hi Lo campers were built much better than newer...

    Broken cable replacement

Someone posted a good description on the forum. He replaces all four cables at the same time. I read then printed it so I could reread as I progressed. I did purchase a cable cutter but did not pull the cable tight enough when I installed it. I should have used a come-a-long to pull the cable...

    Furnace help

The issue I had with my 1509 was two exhaust ducts going from the furnace to the opposite end of the camper. This caused too much resistance so we shortened one so it vented below the table/bed. Still, the heater was not intended to warm my camper above 55 degrees so I used a Little Buddy part...

    2310H Hi-Lo for sale

Jack, I know, and the towing companies also know this. Last year while camping at Leadville I saw several six cylinder vehicles which had pulled what I consider too large campers.
