    1983 Voyager 25L for sale

Bought our HiLo about two years ago and haven't had time (or money) for repairs other than a couple of coats of roofing paint and new tires. Wife just bought a newer camper and said the HiLo has to go. Asking $500 or best offer. Pics available on request

    Military Hi-Lo..... ahh sorta

Just looked over the prices... Wow! Not looking to buy a decent bed topper, then pay $2,000 + extra for addons. For $3,000, I'd much rather make something cheaper, yet more sturdy.

    Military Hi-Lo..... ahh sorta

Looks like a fun project... Now, I'm trying to figure out how I could build a custom "camper" in my truck bed with a hydraulic lift system. (Just brought the idea up with my wife and she gave me the patented "Are you out of your mind?" look which means it's a great idea, right? haha!)

    Water damage

r67 -- From what I can tell, the blackwater tank has a couple of straps which shouldn't be too difficult to remove; just tricky to get to. I would guess the hardest part would be getting under the camper and having room to work (unless you have access to a "mechanic / inspection pit" which...

    Water damage

r67 -- I read through your other thread... Amazing work on the walls and ceiling! I'm going to be going through the same steps as soon as the crazy Iowa weather clears (probably around May) as I've got similar issues. I agree with Sam, though. Camper floors aren't very thick so shallow...

    Water damage

setxjohn -- Wife and I bought an '83 25 footer and it's going to need the front half: ceiling, walls and part of the floor replaced due to water damage / leaks. For the most part, it's rather straightforward (very similar to replacing a subfloor in your home) but, it won't be until you dig in...

wdsniderman & anchorwood, Don't y'all hate it when inanimate objects learn to move just in time to jump in the way? Thanks for the chuckles. Unfortunately, I read this after getting our "new" Hi-Lo home. Here's my addition: When we brought our 83 Voyager (25 footer) home, I had to back it...

    New Member - Old (1983) Hi-Lo

anchorwood, Glad my over-explaining is welcome here. haha! I've worked on a few friends' older campers and boats over the years (just never my own) so this should be a case of "same, but different." I've been a "jack-of-all-trades" for years so I've got the skill sets for the various...

    New Member - Old (1983) Hi-Lo

Jack & Usagi -- My wife found the camper online and talked the seller down to $100 but it was a "pick it up today" deal. On the hour drive to check it out, my mind was pretty much made up (we were going to buy it because even if it were a lost cause, I could still scrap it out for more than...

So, just bought an '83 Voyager (25L) for $100. The positives: solid frame and good tires (pulls amazingly well), LP and electrical all work (AC, furnace, lights, etc.), original stove, new power converter, and it even raises and lowers perfectly. The negatives: leaky roof / wall damage...
