    Camping out in Florida

We would be interested also. We are busy much of the year with our ministry but would love to get to know some other Hi-LOer's outside of the yearly jamboree. Hopefully others will be interested and reply too.

    Exterior lights

Great idea with the flasher Bob! I will be adding one of these to my emergency kit. Thanks. Brian

    Soft Wall

Try checking outside for leaks too. I had a major repair on the back of our trailer because the clearance/running lights had not been sealed properly. I would try removing and replacing the inside paneling. You can see what's going on with it removed. If the leak is found and stopped, you might...

    Low Sewer Pipes

"Deal with" may be the correct phrase. The previous owner of our trailer warned us that he had ripped the low hanging pipes to the gray and black tanks off on a fuel island in an undisclosed gas station. Unfortunately, they were FULL . He claims that he did not know what to do so he just...

    21' 1995 Towlight

Her name is Rielly and she has the life of Rielly. The trailer is really her mobile dog house, she just lets us use it while we are on the road (kind of like the king sized bed at home). She rides in the air conditioning. She loved having a long enough lead to be able to guard the camp on all sides!

    21' 1995 Towlight

Here's our 95 Towlight with our 05 F150...Oh yeah, and Rielly our American Bulldog.

    Add'l bed support

Your Idea is a good one! At 6'4" and 260#'s, I rode our table/bed to the floor one night. Since it's just my wife and I and the dog, the dinette bed is now happily claimed by our American Bulldog. Our loss is her gain!

    1973 hi lo

It sounds like it could be a circuit breaker clicking off and resetting. You might have a short that's causing the breaker to overheat and trip. I would try pulling all of the fuses and insert them one by one until it trips again. Them you can start tracing that branch and find the short. It...

    Outside Mirrors

I'm currently using these: So far they are working well for me. They are made by Reese and have a wide view and a blind spot mirror.

How fast do you drive ?

I think I'll just stick to the legal limit. I don't have extra funds to pay tickets and I've long lost the need for speed.

Hitch ball size for 2001 17' Towlite

I am fortunate enough to be able to see the 2" ball stamp on my hitch so I have no doubt as to its size. My problem was finding a 2" ball with an 1 1/4" shaft to fit my WD setup. Finally found one at Northern tool.

    Another generator question

After reading about these types of generators on other forums, I'm going to try transporting it inside the trailer. From what I have gathered from the posts I read, as long as I turn off the fuel line valve and let the engine stop by running it out of gas and then close the gas cap vent lever...

Hitch ball size for 2001 17' Towlite

    That's strange, my 95 has a 2" hitch.

    Another generator question

I just went and checked and boy are you ever right Rich. I'm considering a front hitch for the truck and a basket type mount for the generator. I'm just trying to plan for the future when I may not be able to lift it anymore.

    Another generator question

Thanks Les. I had actually considered that idea but since I don't have a welder, I was looking for an easier way. This might be the only way to do it safely.

    Another generator question

My wife and I purchased a 3000 watt honda knockoff generator. I had planned on mounting it on the rear of our Towlight but had second thoughts after reading Sam's post warning against it due to the frame flexing it can cause. It weighs 65 pounds. I don't know if the flexing is due to larger...

    Tank monitor panel

Thanks again Sam. Did you work for or sell HiLo's at one time? You seem to have all the answers I'm looking for. Neal, that's where I thought it would be...from the pictures I've seen. I'm going to crawl underneath the trailer and see if I can see any of the sensors on the tanks. Hmm... :D...on...

    Tank monitor panel

I just bought a 22.5 (23?) ft 1995 TL. I am in the process of repairing a few things so that my wife and I (and the dog) can take it out this coming weekend. I just realized that I don't see any type of tank monitor panel anywhere in the trailer. Is there some hidden place I should look? Surely...

Thanks Sam. You're right, it's a moot point. I have the torsion axels.

    "Jacked Up" HiLo

Has anyone here tried to raise the ground clearance of their HiLo by adjusting the spring shackle height? I would really like to do this to mine to better protect the plumbing and the rear bumper from speed bumps and steep angled driveways but don't know how. Pictures would be great but any help...

    Running lights

Also, when you replace the light, make sure to seal it properly. I just finished replacing three sections of the wooden framework on the drivers front side of our trailer due to soft inside walls. As I traced my way up to the source of the leak I ended up at the 2 clearance lights. The previous...
