My Coleman 2755 BH is prewired for adding an external 4G antennae. I found the plate on top of the roof but have not unsealed it yet. I assume when I expose that plate on the roof there will be 12V power and the cabling that goes to the switch inside? All I will need to do is drill holes...
Has anyone installed (DIY) a Hughes Watchdog surge protector in an Imagine 2600rb?
I am wondering if it's easily done or if it's better to have it installed.
Thanks in advance for the help!

Hello! Owner of a 2015/2016 (?) ASPEN TRAIL 3600QBDS. We are seasonal campers at a campground and we attached a 4 season sunroom onto our rv. Our campground is no longer accepting any 50amp rv’s so if we were to upgrade it’d have to be a 30amp and that just doesn’t agree with our lifestyle. So...
Being new to AC and truck camping in general, I understand there is an undertaking known as "leveling".
QUESTION - What is a reasonable height to plan to level too? One inch? One foot? One corner or two?
With sticks and stone available, plus a plethora of intelligently design devices, it can...
Hello,
I am the proud new owner of a "used" 2021 Project M. I'm still a couple weeks away from picking it up from the current owner but the wheels in my head are turning on how I'm going to customize it. The previous owner went pretty bare-bones with what he ordered from the factory and I'd...
Today leaving a disperse camping site my jacks got caught up in a mess of trees, not knowing this I stepped on the gas and torn, around where my jack was bolted on roughly. And then busted the seem going up it. Knowing I had to get out of there, I tore the rest off so it wouldn't fall off when...
long time creeper on here finally getting around to posting.

exoskeleton built with 3" x 3" 3/16" aluminum. panels built with .040 aluminum glued to 1" blueboard glued to 1/4" birch.

Hi,
Here are the videos of my rebuild. They have adult language and humor so if you're not into that don't watch, but it shows how I rebuilt my trailer. The series is live and ongoing, currently on episode 4, more coming soon. I will continue to update the thread as the episodes release...
Hi everyone!
My name is Mike, I'm 23, and over the summer of 2020 I rebuilt a 2008 15t. It had extensive amounts of water damage and it was in pretty bad shape. I stripped it down to the frame and made it my own. I documented the whole thing and I have been turning it into a video series. My...
Hello Campers.
I've got a question for Everyone.
A couple of months ago I was looking at a Thread that involved a Camper doing a DIY/Homemade Corner Jack Post Mounts, where he had drawing of the Plates that he made and Welded it to his Jacks to convert them to Corner Jacks.
Does anyone know who...
Help!! I took my 2018 Escape 17B on a rough road in Utah and it had some damage to it. :nonono: Apparently I did not understand that the dirt-road definition I used was not the same as ETI’s. I went as slow and carefully as I could but still over a dozen things went wrong and/or broke. I do know...
Hi all,
I’m doing some planning for a battery upgrade on a 344GK Solitude. I’ve created a schematic of what I think would work given the current wiring and the size of system I’d like to have. Please take a look and let me know what I have wrong or missed.
Thanks,
Chris
Question: I want to have under cabinet Puck lights In our 21NE build. Escape wants to charge me __$ each 12v drop. Would I be 1) money ahead and 2) easy to splice into the wiring for the under cabinet pancakes to DIY/add additional under cabinet lights myself?
I was exercising my onan 5500 generator the other day. Last time it energized my rig. This time it didn't. I checked forums here and you tubes. suggestions: check breakers, all were on. So next thing was to follow the wiring from the generator to rig. I took out stores from the front...
So out on the sunshine coast, set up and doing great.
Wife and I had showers the other day, (BTW the upgrade to Oxygenics head is awesome!)
And then was working on basement tidy. But a fairly large pool of water in there after showers.
Investigated and sure enough, water exited the shower...
Backstory:
We tend to do most of our down time outside of the camper (it's pretty hot in southern Utah)—we love the awning and we like to camp by big shady trees too and sit outside. And as a special bonus my wife is a vegetarian and I'm a meat-a-sorrus, so I try not to cook hamburgers and...
Hey All, I just bought a fwc bronco for $200 that was in pretty rough shape, but I knew that going in. I mostly just wanted it for the skeleton and a template to build onto. I've dug through a ton of the forums and chats on here prior to buying, but wanted to start a topic to see if anyone is...
I have been convinced for some time the lithium batteries were the future for marine and RV type applications and that lead acid's days were numbered. Lithium batteries have many major advantages over lead acid, including 4 times the energy density, much flatter voltage curve and less picky...
we are about to buy a 2800bh. we want to be able to do alot of dry camping. to that end, i've asked for a number of dealer add ons. 6v batteries, 3000w inverter and 30 lb propane tanks... of course, these are more expensive than we can get them online or at costco, but for some stuff (like the...
Hi All!
Finally got my pictures & description done for the awning. Ended up making a completely new cover from the old beach umbrella I had at home because I just didn't like that fabric. It's all about appearances . . . . hahahahha
So, here's the tutorial if you're interested - easy peasy and...
We added a full length mirror to the bathroom door of our last trailer, and we did the same here.
We always found the inside bathroom door is the best place to put this mod. Yes I put a lot of clips on and I use the new product from Liquid Nails to stick the mirror to the door. The new product...
Hi!
I don't remember if I asked this before, but has anyone made their own window awnings? I would like to add some and am not finding much info on the web. Any ideas? I'm thinking about a c channel above the window (or an easier or cheaper alternative, any ideas?) And some sort of PVC frame...
Hi All!
I have to admit it - I had "Silk Flower Envy" You know when the big rvs pull up next to you and they have silk flowers on a table in the window?
Well, I fixed that! I now have silk flowers too! I finally got the pictures ready for the knock-down tables that I built. They have a pipe...
Ok, I know that is egotistical, but seriously, the only other ways I saw to do it were uuuuugly - big hunks of plywood screwed to the wall. Plus, I don't think they are as stable.
So, without further ado, click here to check out my way of mounting a tv/monitor to the wall, with no giant plywood...
Hi WTW! My wife, Robin, and I, Zach, have been reading the forum for a while and gotten a lot of great info and inspiration from it. Thanks!
Now it’s our turn - we’re building a camper for our 2014 Tacoma Doublecab and will be documenting the build here. This first post is a bit more about us...
