Just picked up what I believe is a 1963 HI LO 531S Custom Camper. There is a raised plastic name plate on the upper left corner. I have looked high and low for another source of information on the year and model. Have not found any other decals or name plates. Does anyone know of an area where there might be a hidden serial number, etc. Thanks for any help.

Welcome to the Forum!

One place to look is on the tongue/aframe. The serial number could be stamped on it somewhere. This always seems to be a mystery. There appears to be no consistency of where the numbers were located. Later models all have a sticker on the driver's side with the VIN and weight capacity information, and a sticker on the curb side lower corner. Some have a sticker inside a cupboard door with some weight information. Ours came without cupboard door sticker.

The VIN (on the tongue) should have that info in it. There was not much difference from 1962-1964 in the smaller models. Let us know if we can help, we did a rebuild of one last year. Love our Hi-Lo
