My husband and I bought a 1985 Funchaser yesterday. As a former R & D engineer, he is very impressed by the over-engineering that went into the unit. While it has sat for a long time everything still works and it's dirty but nothing a little elbow grease can't fix. The people we bought it from were using "percussive maintenance" to lower the top. My husband is happily rebuilding the lowering solenoid at the moment. Big kid with a new toy. We are looking forward to using it on vacation in July.
