I have a 1997 tow-lite with a painted Aluminum roof. It's kinda like small bubbles or wood grain and a lot like trim core on a house but thicker. Has anybody used the Dicor metal roof coating and if so can you put it on a painted aluminum roof? Dicor don't really make it clear ? My guess you can but i like to know for sure. I will also be calling Dicor.
thanks Bigbar

You can also use Koolseal Elastomeric coating. It is available from hardware stores and big box stores. Follow the same instructions as shown in the above video.

Thanks! after reading it over and over i caught it. Just a senior moment.
LoL, Bigbar

Thanks on the info about the Koolseal. The only reason i'm going to used the Dicor, It was cheap! Not me the Dicor roofing sealant. LoL. Was gave to me !

I have used the Dicor RPMRC1 Elastomeric Metal RV Roof Coating and it is cheapest and it did work. It is the only one I ever tried. Dont put it on when cold though, it may work, but may peel later. Warm as per instructions…
Clean, clean clean the roof. Soap is fine, but rinse it off. Lightly sand or scour for best results.

If you have a few patched areas with eternabond white tape will the above coatings work and seal both...(painted alu and Tape)

On my 2407T I hit all my roof seems with eternabond tape and then used the Dicor self leveling sealent around that to seal the edges. They (Dicor) recommended that so you don't get a black film around the edge since it stays sticky. Also another precautionary move.

The backing of the tape is like vinyl. Nothing sticks to it. The coating will peel off. But no biggie. The tape is white and does not need a coating. It is very sticky.

I would peel the tape up is you are gonna do a full roof coating. It should come up with a heat gun.
