Blew a L side tire and ripped all the wiring out. I cannot locate a detailed wiring diagram (12V switch commections are the real problem )

Hi and welcome! Sorry to hear of your blowout. The only wiring diagrams I know of are the ones in your owner's manual. If you don't have one, the diagrams for the 2006 trailers are here: http://www.hilotrailerforum.com/f51/hi-lo-2306-primary-wiring-116/ They are the same as the ones in my 2007 manual.

To guard against a future blowout, I recommend you buy and install a GOOD TPMS system. I highly recommend the one from TireMinder. It monitors both pressure and temperature, and does not give false alarms. The OFFICIAL WEBSITE of Minder Research, Inc. - Home of the TireMinder TPMS, TempMinder and NightMinder Systems.

Boy! Quick response. Thanks for the advice. It has the TPMS. When I said it "blew" out, it really blew, instantaneously! Sounded like a shotgun. I had time to say "oh s___" and pull over. Thanks again for the info.

You're welcome, John. I'm amazed your TPMS didn't give you a warning. Does it monitor temperature? I think that might be an important warning that things are going wrong. Hope you get things back together quickly!

Could have been junk on the road. How bad did the Hi Lo get torn up and what area? Just curious, not too much wiring I hope. In all my searching I have never found an "as built" wire diagram for ANY Hi Lo, even from a friend in the "manuals for sale" business.
What little conversation I've had with the new Hi Lo company has been of very little help with regards to parts, graphics or the old manuals.

You're right, Tree - But, I've found the wire colors and sizes seem to correspond to my diagrams once we get past the two 30A CBs in the battery compartment. Then, it's just a matter of connecting them to the appropriate devices. I imagine his hardest task will be to rewire the converter.

John, look at the wire colors and sizes that remain on the converter. Try to find the matching ones in the trailer. Reconnect by soldering with shrink wrap.

John,

Which 2007 Towlite do you have? On our 2407T, the converter is on the left front under the dinette seat. From there all of the wiring runs down the left side through the back of the refrigerator, under the shower, behind the toilet, through the closet (some up to the roof), and forward on the right side to the furnace and control switches. That would be a mess of wires to repair if the left side of our Hi-Lo was damaged. If they weren't ripped out you might be able to reconnect with butt connectors, but I'll bet they didn't make it easy to get to them.
