Our female cat was very sick. We took Adelle to the emergency vet and had to put her down. She was 15yrs. old. We got her when she was 5or 6yrs. old. We all decided to wait until the camping season is over to consider getting another cat.

I'm so sorry, sam. I know too well what it's like to lose a pet, who's a member of your family. When my last cat died, I wanted to get another, but have decided I can't bear the pain of the loss any more.

Losing a pet

Jack, I agree it is hard loosing a pet. This year has been tough as we lost two cats in a close time frame. We have had five cats in our forty years of marriage. Sometimes I call the cat the wrong name!! Kind of like having five kids(fur babies). Thanks for the kind words.

Agreed, hard to lose a pet as they're always around and make the daily things of life just a little bit more fun and lighthearted. So sorry to hear of your loss.

Thanks for the condolences.

Adelle was queen of the backyard. If Gibby went in the back yard she would chase him. He was able to scale our 6ft. fence or climb our neighbors tree. I will have to pick Gibby up and put him in the back yard when we can be with him. He doesn't realize Adelle is no longer with us. Once again thank you for your words of comfort.
