AC Unit Drainage

We've been running the Coleman AC unit a few times lately. The water drains off the roof and drips directly in front of the door.

I thought the awning or roof would do a better job of channeling the water. I'm figuring rainwater would follow the same path. That would get anyone trying to enter or exit the unit drenched.

Any ideas to help us solve this problem?

I have an 85 funchaser and the a/c unit drains from the drivers side of the trlr.
It drains from a hole in the bottom of the pan and runs down the side over the windows.
I thought about running a flexible line to route the water, but it could/would plug the hose with debris and then would overflow into the trailer----so no hose.
It sounds like your hole is on the wrong side, thus draining to the door, or the unit is not level and draining around the unit to the wrong side. Roof line on the hi-lo is pitched and I would think the last reference is not true
A quick and easy fix would be to plug the hole on the passenger side and drill a hole on the passenger side. This will only work if the a/c unit is level and will drain to that side!
For runoff of rainwater you can use a line of silicone as a diverter to channel water to where it won't affect entry, but being level will be necessary

When you level the trailer you can tweak it a bit to make the water run a different direction. Also, make sure the drain holes are not plugged on the pan. You should take the cover off occasionally and clean debris that may have collected there.

I have seen after-market rain gutters that you can install easily. They are made of a flexible vinyl and held on by 3M double sided tape. Also, I read somewhere that someone had used "J rail" (used with vinyl house siding) to make their own rain gutters. If I can find that info I will post it. With your awning out, have the end opposite the entry door end about 3 holes lower on the arm.
