I just recently purchased a 2001 Hi-Lo 24' Classic. I had the camper plugged in to the 110v power supply from my house. I had the ac on high as it was over 100 degrees outside. I was attempting to cool down the camper so that i could go outside and clean it. After leaving the ac on high for several hours i turned it off and went to unplug it and the plug and cord seemed extremely hot. Is this normal? :confused:Will leaving it on high for extended amount of time cause this to happen? any info would be greatly appreciated.

I would expect the plug to be warm because there is quite a bit of power going through it. Does it fit tightly in the receptacle and does it feel hot? Making good contact is important. Are the pins clean and shiny, and is the cord in good shape where it attaches to the plug?

I would say running the A/C on high for a long period of time is the big contributor. If there is a short the breaker would kick out.
