I am in MS. It is not heavy, just odd shape and kind of long but I don't see why it couldn't be mailed. I think if it was packed in a longer box and either foam or bubble wrap it would be fine. I took it off yesterday, I have the antenna, the hand crank from inside. The only thing that is is missing (I dropped it and can't find it) is a tiny screw that goes in the handle to hold it to the shaft.
I will ask my husband when he gets home today if he wants the antenna. We have never had one on our trailer. We have the part on the outside where you would hook cable to it. Ours is a 1990 HiLo Classic 25ft.
That will work. I am glad you have the other part, the separate piece the antenna plugs into on top. I was going to remove it also but that would mean more holes to repair and it is really stuck on there.
Talked with dh. He said we haven't had a television all these years. He doesn't think it would fit up on the roof with our solar panels. Thanks for offering. I hope someone can use it.
I go camping for 2 weeks a month all summer and have not watched TV while camping - home a different story - so since it was leaking there figured I would just remove and fix permanently. With solar panels there more than likely isn't the room.
Do I pack it or do they? I am leaving on July 4th for 2 weeks of camping but could leave it with my daughter who lives right behind us. You are more than welcome to it.
No it is not a problem. I just did not want to box it up and then have them say they prefer to pack it. Let me get some boxes to cut and make a larger box, and I think I will have some Styrofoam left over to pack in and around. It will be Monday or Tuesday before I can get it done and ready. I will post when it is ready to go.
