Battery Charging/Refrigerator Running Wiring Kit

I came across this kit online. It has everything needed to wire a tow vehicle for adequate charging of the trailer batteries as well as running the refrigerator from the tow vehicle.

Wow! 8 Gauge and 60 Amps. Probably more than my 130 Amp alternator could supply (in addition to the needs of the truck). Kinda expensive though - $99. I suspect I could fab something equivalent for much less cost.

It's expensive but it's a high quality setup. They are using a nice, waterproof circuit breaker as well as tinned marine wire. The trailer connectors also look like high quality parts.

We bought a used Montana highway patrol car and it not only had a 170 amp alternator but 100 amp service ran all the way into the trunk. Too bad its a FWD Impala and can't tow much. I bet the police spec Tahoes would be great for this.
