The Gulf Cost Hilo Club, had our April camp out last week. We were at the Lincon Parish Camp ground out of Ruston La. This was a wilderness camp ground only 3 miles out of town. Felt like we were 100 miles from a town we were on one of the few hills in louisiana next to a lake with hiking trails, and the had a grate large lodge for our meetings. We had a grate time, playing games, visiting with friends, and grate food. If our club has a fault. It is we eat to much, but can not help it with all the grate Louisiana cooks, that are in our club. We also did a side trip to Poverty Point. This is a histortal site that dates back to over 2000 years BC. There is a grate museam and you tour the giant mounds that were built during the time of the Permids and before the Astec. So we got culture and a grate camp out.
