In another thread I replaced the solenoid valve for my water heater as I detected a leak there and believed it to be intruding to the interior. The replacement fixed that leak. So I left the trailer connected to gas overnight and in the morning I smelled a strong gas odor inside the trailer. I went out to the water heater and I could not smell gas there so I believe that is repaired.

Not exactly sure what is going on. This all started with a new gas tank from a tank exchange. After some research I believe the tank is probably over pressurized which is causing multiple valve failures starting with the regulator. All the valves are original equipment and as I understand it prone to failure due to age. My theory is the over pressurized tank is making these age issues apparent.

My plan is to start with the regulator, replace it and test again. Then work my way through the system looking for leaks. The reason to start at the regulator is because these leaks are systemic, multiple systems leaking at the same time under the same circumstances.

If you have advice on the matter, please let me know.

Soapy water in a squirt bottle is how i find leaks. the bubbles that kids play with, works best, i got the big refill to keep on hand good for leaky tires too
