Hello:

I am looking for a smaller Hi-Lo, (24 and under)
and I am pretty discerning, and capable of detecting obvious signs of water damage or warping in the upper shell of the Hi Lo.

But I wondered if some of the more knowledgeable members of the forum, (Gus and RCReyes come to mind) had some suggestions of what subtle things and areas to look at, to detect if there has been any early stage of water leaking in the roof or around windows.

Always appreciative of this most excellent forum and its dedicated Senior members.

Detecting roof problems

Get a ladder and go up on the roof. You will feel soft spots with your hands and feet. If a prospective owner won't let you do this than pass on the unit.

Water damage is pretty noticeable. You'll see stains and bubbling on the interior walls and ceiling if water has protruded. Don't confuse it with glue stains. I have some yellow stains on my ceiling that I thought were water stains. Found out is was just the glue on the paneling seeping though. Hope that helps. (By the way, I still consider myself novice Hi-Lo owner. :D )
