Dinette to Sofa Conversion

1998 Classic 22L

My wife and I never use the side dinette and would like to replace it with a
jackknife sofa. The furnace is under the right side dinette cushion. Has anyone had experience completing a project like this? If so, can you provide some advice or the best sofa to fit the space.
