How do you get the electric cord back in the small storage compartment?
Anybody come up with a good storage solution?

Cut the cord! Make it a detachable power cord. That is what I did to mine. I think I got mine as a kit. It consisted of a plug end for the power cord and a 30 amp inlet plug. The inlet plug fits into the hole you currently shove the cord into on the door. Leave enough cord to strip and attach to the inlet plug. (Approx 12 - 16”). It is an easy DIY job.

Lincow, I just rum mine back and forth longways in the storage compartment. I find there's plenty of room for it this way. For a while, when we first owned the trailer, i put an additional extension cord in there too. I use gloves when I'm doing this because the cord is fairly dirty.

On my '83 - 16 S, the shore power cable (20 A) is in a small box below the chassis and I'm thinking of modifying it as well. There's also a second cord with a female end crammed in that small box. I'm thinking of rebuilding the box as the wood looks pretty iffy, and it also looks like a good place to add some storage since other than the tongue area, there isn't any real storage to speak of with the top down. It also has a separate AC input connection in the top section, but since I won't be using AC I'll probably re-wire the outlet that that goes to to the regular shore power system.
