Hello everyone,
Strange things happen. One weekend we camped and everything was great. Next time the side pop out would not work. We opened the access cover above the sofa sleeper and found that the strap had come loose from the winding cylinder due to too much slack bringing it in previously. So we inserted the strap end into a hole in the cylinder hoping that was all.
Somehow the "new" problem is the switch by the door, operates the motor very briefly for up, yet works ok for down.
Two new batteries installed so it is not a AC/DC power problem.
Could it be the switch, the motor or something else?
Please help. In the meantime, I manually lift it. Not bad exercise for my 78 year old body.
Thanking you in anticipation,
Ray

Well, you do have to manually push it over center once it stops moving with the motor. Check out video 6 in the link below.

pop out motor

I had a brand new 2510 after the factory closed and my electric motor fizzed. The motor is common to other pop up campers They are expensive in the area of $350

make sure you wound the strap the correct direction on the take up spindle....the motor has limit switches that will only set it travel a set distance in either direction...I have had mine apart for lubrication...
